"You must be the gentleman who’s going to get me a drink."

This is awful! I bet this dude will never see women the same. I just hope he doesn't run away. At least he looks better than that geek who was discussing quantum theory on a blind date. I can not believe I didn't run away in between.

Finally, I did the thing any mature woman would do. Walking up to the first man I laid my eyes on.

"That was..... "

"Horrible?", I complete his sentence.

He chuckles, "I'll forget about that, I swear."

Maybe this wouldn't end too badly. He's also exceptionally hot. Tall, dark, handsome, and dangerous!

"Thanks for the drink. By the way, it's Raquel.", I introduced myself.

"Ambrose."

It doesn't take him much time to finally slam me against his car and take my lips roughly. One of his strong arms holds me firmly against his hard chest while the other one glides up my thigh.

I don't regret the horrendous blind date now.

"My house is not further from here." I let out against his mouth.

It takes only fifteen minutes for us to finally get in there. May only be a false intuition but I did notice some suspicious cars following us.

As we reach, I try to tiptoe inside my bedroom with him but his impatient self again shoves me against the wall and attacks my lips.

"Raquel!" Shit! Dad! I don't want him to witness me with a stranger. But it is too late. He comes out of his room as soon as Ambrose lets go of my lips. It takes me a whole minute to decipher what happens next.

Ambrose takes out a gun and points it straight toward my father. "Finally, Roberts! Hide and seek over!"

"What the fuck are you doing?", I yell. With one hand still holding the gun, the blue-eyed bastard pulls out his ID card.

Detective?

"There's no point in trying to escape. Our men have surrounded this site."

Those cars!

It has been years since dad stopped working under those illegal people. It's not his first time getting arrested but they couldn't hold him for more than two weeks. There was a dearth of proof!

A few other officers also join us in the room, while one of them handcuffs my father. They yank him away with them.

While all of them leave with my father, Ambrose doesn't.

"I'll free him soon. I'll find a way." I glare at him.

That annoying smirk still lingers on his lips. He steps so closer that I can smell his cologne again.

"We will see about that. But don't worry." His lips descend to my ear lobes. "Now you have me to take care of you from time to time. After all, we still have some unfinished business."

Even in this humiliating situation, his proximity to me caused a wreak of havoc in my stomach.

"I'll come back soon, Raquel. And, thanks for this remarkable night."
