Ririka rolled her eyes for the umpteenth time as she felt her girlfriend squeak into her neck.
"What was that about not being scared of horror movies again?" she teased, running her fingers through Mary's blonde hair.
"Shut up," Mary responded, her face still pressed into Ririka's neck.
The white-haired woman sighed, moving her hand down to the small of her girlfriend's back. She could feel the shorter girl's body slightly trembling in fear.
Ririka's face softened as she leaned to whisper into Mary's ear, "Lovely, would you like me to turn this off? We can always watch something else."
Mary looked up only to shove her head back into her girlfriend's chest as another person on screen was brutally killed.
"N-No it's fine," Mary mumbled, her voice shaky, "besides, it's Halloween what else would we watch?"
Ririka paused the movie and sighed, "You are aware that there's plenty of non-scary Halloween movies out there, right?"
Mary lifted her head from Ririka's chest to instead lean on her shoulder. She mumbled something quietly, looking away from the taller girl.
"What was that?" Ririka asked.
Mary huffed, turning back to face her girlfriend. "I know that, I just thought.." Mary hesitated, "Fuck."
"Go on,"
The blonde continued, "I just thought you would enjoy this more than some stupid kids movie." she sighed, an embarrassed blush creeped on her face, "I know it sounds stupid bu-"
"Mary that's not stupid," Ririka cut her off, "How could I enjoy a movie if my girlfriend wasn't enjoying it too?"
The blonde stared at her girlfriend awestruck, "I guess you have a point there..." she muttered, looking down at her hands.
"Right, now what do you want to watch?" Ririka asked, lifting her girlfriend's chin to face her again.
Mary looked around in thought, "Corpse Bride?" she suggested.
Ririka nodded before leaning in to place a gentle kiss on Mary's nose.
"What was that for?" Mary asked, another blush dusting her cheeks.
The taller girl shrugged, "You looked cute,"
Mary giggled and suddenly moved forward to connect their lips, making Ririka gasp in surprise before quickly matching Mary's energy.
When they finally pulled away from each other Mary was the one to break the silence.
"You missed," she smirked and bent back down to snuggle into her girlfriend's chest once more.
Ririka sighed, she really loved this girl.

Once the movie had ended, the taller girl noticed Mary had fallen asleep on her chest at some point. She sighed taking in the features on her sleeping girlfriend's face.
Reluctantly, Ririka moved Mary off her chest to stand, careful not to wake her. She picked the blonde up bridal-style, carrying her to their shared bedroom.
Once they were settled on the bed, Ririka felt Mary scoot closer to her.
"I love you," Mary mumbled, the sleepiness evident in her voice.
Ririka sighed happily, "I love you too,"
Finally, the two girls succumbed to the calls of sleep.
