"you only write fics based on songs" okay and?

Of all the holidays in the world the only one Ririka had never seen a point in had to be Valentine's Day. For anyone else in the world the day was either an unwanted reminder of their lack of a partner or the most romantic day of the year. But for somebody born to be nothing but a shadow of their younger sister for their entire life the possibility of having someone of her own seemed unfathomable, so there was no reason to pay it any mind.
At least that's what she had thought before.
Mary Saotome had taken the girl's entire life's purpose that had been "perfectly" crafted by her family and turned it to something sweeter. The blonde's entire being was comparable to a fierce thunderstorm, whereas Ririka was a measly house of cards that toppled over easily due to Mary's unforeseen emergence in her life. It took no time at all for Ririka to discern just how captivated she was by the blonde, but much longer to realize Mary liked her back, much to the older girl's disbelief.
Soon enough the two girl's relationship blossomed, from quick, yet endearing exchanges in hushed voices to the occasional heated make-out sessions while her fingers ran through Mary's hair when the pair were alone. And now, the once supposedly pointless holiday held something special, a reminder that somebody could seemingly take away her pain with something as simple as a smile.
Ririka smiles warmly to herself in an empty classroom, awaiting Mary's arrival with a small plushie held in her pale hands. Although she probably could've done more with her family's wealth and such, she knew Mary never needed anything extravagant to know just how much she adored her. Plus, it was a well known fact to Ririka that the younger girl had a secret soft spot for plushies.
Ririka's reminiscing is quickly cut short by the classroom door being pushed open to reveal her beloved girlfriend, causing her previously subtle smile to widen exponentially. The change doesn't go unnoticed by Mary who swears she can see sparks fly just looking at how carefree the older girl looks in the moment. "You came!" Ririka says, pushing herself off the table she had previously been leaning on towards Mary.
Mary scoffs, "Why wouldn't I? I couldn't just not see my gorgeous girlfriend on Valentine's Day."
Ririka could only roll her eyes playfully at how sappy the younger girl could be as she's pulled into a tight hug. Ririka takes advantage of their closeness, pushing her face into the crook of Mary's neck just to remind herself that this was all real and not some cruel dream she'd wake up from in a few short moments.
She pulls away moments later, wasting no time in revealing a small panda plushie with a tiny pink heart in its hands from behind her back with a proud grin. "Happy Valentine's Day."
Mary's eyes widened, pulling a similar plushie from her bag, except a cat instead of a panda. "Happy Valentine's Day," she responds sheepishly, the end of her sentence trailing into a short laugh.
Ririka giggles, taking the cat plushie from the blonde's hands, "I love it."
"I love mine too," Mary says, petting the panda's head gently with her pointer finger, a slight blush dusting her tanned cheeks. However, when the blonde looks up, Ririka's lips press against her own. While surprised by the action at first, the blonde quickly melts under Ririka's touch, wrapping her arms around the taller girl's neck while still holding onto the small plushie.
When they finally pull away from each other Mary is the one to break the silence, "I love you."
Turquoise eyes widen at Mary's words in astonishment before they pool with warmth, "I love you more."
Swiftly, Mary brings Ririka's lips back down to meet her own, beginning to kiss her leisurely once more.
