Pony's POV.
"Why can't i go to the movies?" I asked Darry. "Because you got jumped last time. There's no one to walk with you." He replied. "I'll bring 'em." Said a unknown voice. We both turned to see Tim Shepherd. "Why would ya wanna bring him?" Darry asked. Tim shrugged. "I haven't been to a movie in a while. Plus, I ain't got nothin' else to do." He explained. "So?" I asked. Darry sighed. "Yeah. Go ahead. But, Tim. Watch him. I bet you've heard how absent minded he can be." Darry said. I looked down clenching my fists. I know he's right..but..i hate hearin' him say it. "Aight. Lets go kid." He said. I nodded and walked out the door after him.
We started walking. "So. Why'd ya really wanna bring me?" I asked. "I already told a reason." He replied lookin' at me through the corner of his eye. "It was a lie. Darry mighta not saw it. But i definitely did." I said. He smirked. "Your smarter then ya look, kid." I shrugged. "Not really. Its a look of the eyes. I ca just see it better then most." I replied. He chuckled. "You are smart. Real smart. But, ya freeze up in a bad situation. Its normal. Its just your brothers don't see that." He says. I feel my face get warm. I went silent. "Ya. I figured that'd get ya. Ain't no one ever seen it before. Except maybe that Johnnycake." He said.
We walked into the movie theater to the smell of popcorn, butter and a mixture of sweet and cinnamon. I had gotten two tickets for me and Johnny to come, but he had to help Dally with somethin'. So i handed the tickets to the doorman and he pointed us left. We walked that way to room number 6. We went up the stairs and down on of the rows and sat down. "I didn't think to ask what movie this is." Tim said. I shrugged. "I dunno. Johnny picked it out. But, he had somethin' to do with Dal." I replied. Tim shook his head. "How is that little shit?" Tim asked. "He's doin' good. Gettin' into trouble and all." I replied.
"Ya know..hes not as bad as you'd think..Dal i mean..he once was gettin' picked up by the fuzz for breakin' a school window. But the thing was it was Two-bit who did it. Dal just went along with it and took the time for too. So, he cares more then he lets on." I explain. He smirks and ruffles my hair. "I know he does kid..he cares more for all y'all more then anyone gives him credit for." He replied. Then the movie was starting. We sat and watched and i knew from the last 30mins that, that damn Johnnycake tricked me good. This was a damned horror movie. "Oh, shit. He tricked me." I said out loud to myself as i put my head back.
Tim looked at me confused. "How so?" He asked. Then there was a jump scare. I jumped right outta the damned thing. Tim laughed. "I see." He said. He then wrapped his arm around my shoulders. "There ain't nothin' in this movie that can get ya. Don't worry kid." He said. My face got hot all over again. He noticed this time and smirked. "Ya sure can get red." He said. I jumped through that entire damn movie. We walked out of there me practically shaking. "Imma kill 'em." I said. He chuckled and ruffled my hair again. It was dark now. Probably around 7 or 8. Tim pulled me into an alley and got real close. "Push me if ya don't like it.." He whispered.
I was confused for a second. Then he leaned down and pressed his lips to mine. I was shocked at first. But the slowly closed my eyes and kissed back. After he realized I wasn't gonna push 'em away, he wrapped one of his arms around my waist and he put his other hand on the back of my neck. He started getting a little rougher. I made a noise I've never heard come outta me before. He smirked and pulled away. "I went a little rough. Sorry kid." He said as he grabbed my hand and pulled me outta the alley and back onto the sidewalk. We started walking back to my house.
