My hand was in Marcello's as he gave me a pretty modest squeeze in confidence as I nervously stepped inside my parents' house after turning the doorknob and finding it open. My parents immediately delighted upon seeing us and came rushing over to us as Marcello placed my bags down.

"Well, I'm delighted to see you two aren't fighting anymore and you my dear have finally come home." My mother came up and gave Marcello and I both bear hugs.

"We want to share some news with the two of you." As I said those words, my parents' eyes widened.

"Oh my God, are you expecting? You're getting married? Don't tell me you're leaving us, please. Inform us that it's good news, not negative news." My mother started crying uncontrollably at that point.

Her accurate guesses caused my eyes to widen.

I sat down on the sofa, and Marcello made sure to take a very close seat next to me. He was comforting me as well as making up for the fact that I had been away from him for days.

"I'll be commencing my studies at the University of Bologna the following week. Marcello has covered all of my tuition costs." I told them the wonderful news as I watched their eyes widen before they both started beaming.

"Yes, I wholeheartedly concur. I've always wanted my daughter to attend university, so I'm thrilled that you've given Amia this chance. I appreciate that you're an intelligent man who wants her to actually accomplish much more." Marcello was given a handshake by my dad who was extremely excited to hear the news.

"I've always wanted what's best for Amia, Mr. Snow." I chewed my lip as I cast a glimpse up at Marcello.

Marcello noticed what I was doing. I felt uneasy. We made careful to share the good news with them first, but now we had some news that I knew they wouldn't be too happy to hear.

"We also have another confession to make." Both my parents eyes widen once again as Marcello spoke.

I swirmed underneath their gazes as they turned to stare at me before glancing towards Marcello and then back at me once again.

"W-what is it?" My mother stuttered.

"I won't have to relocate to the city for school because it will be online and I will be able to complete all of my coursework online with the exception of practicals of course." I declared

"That's excellent!" My mother proudly beamed.

"Marcello and I have also made the decision to purchase a home. If you want, the two of you can live with me. A gulf club, a pool, a tennis court, a gym, and many more conveniences were on our list of potential additions so you two might have a great time." When I noticed their smile start to waver, I stopped smiling myself inching even closer to Marcello.

"Why do I feel as though there's something your not telling us?" My father caught up.

"We're expecting." Marcello spoke without waiting for me to finish my rambling.

Both their appearance seemed shocked and I wondered what was going through their mind, after about a minute of uncomfortable silence and staring before Marcello finally broke the silence.

"Even though I am aware that this is a significant step forward, as I've previously stated, I only have good intentions for Amia. I will completely fund the future and educational costs of our child. He or she will be raised well and have access to the best and finest things in life. I sincerely hope that you two will be happy for us." Marcello continued.

"I don't want my grand child raised in a gang point blank." My father spoke up, his face void of any emotions.

This was a very good start. At least they're not outraged at the prospect of me having a baby.

Roberto, though, would not like his grandchild not carrying on their legacy but I was with my father on this one especially if my baby is a girl.

"He or she won't grow up in a gang if that's what you want, but I can't stop if that child selects whose family affair he chooses to participate in if he wishes to take over the Ortega family business," Marcello said. I glared at Marcello out of the corner of my eye as he spoke those words.

Why was he trying to frighten my parents to death?

"Maybe we should save that debate for later." My mother swiftly added as Marcello didn't appear to be prepared to back down and my father was going to add more gasoline to a fire that was already smoldering.

"While I wanted a grandchild when you got married, there's no need to think about that the fact that, that ship has sailed although you still can have a baby inside marriage, but nonetheless I'm still happy that I'm having a grand child, it was bound to happen either way as you do have a boyfriend," she said. My mother's words caused me to smile broadly at her understanding as she smiled at me.

"Thank you." I hugged her dearly.

"I also have plans for marriage in the near future for Amia." I snapped my head around after getting this shocking news from him as my mother beamed happily to hear this.

"You're a grown woman and I'm happy for you Amia." My father smiled making me feel relived by their reactions.

"About purchasing a house, you were being sincere were you?" My father requested curiously.

"Yes."

"And you have so much funds to buy such a house? Or a mansion for that matter?" My father inquired.

"Yes." I informed him once again.

Marcello was supplying me with a tun of funds in my account for just being me.

"And you wouldn't be implicated in any sort of scandal or crime or illegal activities by the feds would you?" My father kept questioning once again.

"I do own quite a few businesses that are legal. Infact most of our family business is legal." Marcello clarified and I glared at my father as he thought the worst of Marcello.

"Oh, how could I have forgotten that you actually own the restaurant where Amia works? And since you have demonstrated that you are deserving of spending time with my daughter, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt." After speaking, my father instantly went into deep thought before speaking once again.

"I have always wished for a son. After the arguments between you and Amia, I started to fear that we would relapse into our previous, difficult and unbearable hard times." My mother and I were caught off guard by my father's comments as he gave Marcello a cheerful hug.

What?

"You don't have to worry about that, I will always have you covered no matter what." Marcello assured my father as he chuckled.

"Good, Amia, try to sit down and reason things out without making hasty conclusions next time." I scowled at my father as he scolded me.

Well his allegiance didn't take long to switch did it?

"Unfortunately we will not be able to stay any longer as Amia and I have an appointment to make with my family doctor, we will continue to give you updates about our baby's progress." Marcello pulled me into his arms as his eyes shimmered down at me.

"Yes unfortunately we have to go." I smiled hugging my parents before leaving.

I let out a sigh as soon as I closed the door, thanking my lucky stars that I had survived the conversation unharmed.

I was once again yanked into Marcello's arms as he passionately kissed me, our tongues dancing in hormony while butterflies flocked my tummy making me blush and smile during our kiss.

"I told you there's was no need to worry." He spoke kissing my forehead lovingly but our moment together was shortlived as my father opened the door.

"Can we have a hot tub with our new home?"
