In the end, my parents decided that Marcello and I could only see each other while they were present. However, Marcello was a man who, from what I've learned about him, never followed the rules.

My parents disliked the concept of intimacy between Marcello and I since we weren't married, but they they reluctantly agreed to let the matter go since they didn't want me to get married right away or maybe didn't want me to get married to Marcello at all.

I think it was the latter.

Today was my day off from work and I could actually get to see him even though my parents reluctantly didn't want me to leave home to be with him. Now I was in Marcello's office enjoying his presence.

We hadn't spoken much in person since my parents discovered us together two days ago, so we had mostly been communicating via phone.

I knew the topic of me falling in love would come up sooner rather than later as he made sure to steer clear of asking me anything to do with it while we were on the phone.

I was abruptly yanked from the back into his arms, where he tightly wrapped his arms around my waist before guiding me to his chair behind his desk so I could sit on top of him. I smiled whilst flushed.

"I want to hear you declare your love for me." Marcello said, holding me close to his chest while seductively peppering kisses on the side of my neck.

"Ti amo Marcello." My hand made contact with his hair, while his lips made contact with mine while I eagerly kissed him.

Marcello and I had a passionate kiss for a few minutes, his lips making me feel good all over before I broke apart the kiss to get some air and because his hand had moved up my blouse and bra to massage my breast.

I knew where this was leading to.

"Now say it to me in English." Marcello added peppering me with more kisses, I absolutely loved spending quality time with him.

"Marcello, you are the love of my life and you have my heart." After saying it again, I shyly blushed.

Before we could carry on acting like a couple, however, we heard noises coming from outside Marcello's door. I could definitely make out the voice of the person outside, and I immediately stopped but Marcello on the other hand choose to ignore the noise and continue kissing me.

As soon as the door swung open, I attempted to stand up, but as soon as I did, Marcello pulled me back down onto his lap. I turned to gaze at everything but him and his mother, who had just walked in, feeling a little embarrassed by our compromising position.

"Mother." Before returning to my neck, Marcello made a courteous but fleeting gesture toward his mother.

"You seem to have made a decision. I had high expectations for you and, to be completely honest, I had expected much more from someone like you." She ignored her son and turned to face me.

I bit my bottom lip while staring down, she sounded exactly like my parents making me feel guilty of doing something terribly wrong.

"You are having this conversation with me, not with Mia. I should have anticipated that you would have taken some action to sever our relationship. How typical of you, Serene. I'm going to need you to cut it out." Serene sat on Marcello's desk with her hands clasped and a frown on her face as Marcello responded to his mother.

"Don't call me Serene I am still your mother! Look what she did to you. You've never addressed me by my name before, I believe. Marcello, I continue to believe that you erred in judgement." His mother said something that made me cling to him firmly, as though she had been pained by what he had spoken.
