Gaelle and Jaskier grew up together, always getting into some sorts of trouble. But one day, it goes too far, and Gaelle nearly drowns.
She was never the same after that. She had become a monster, with a voice so alluring none could resist it. Yet she was alone. Jaskier had left to study, she'd been thrown out of her home for what she'd become.
So when she sees her old friend watching her sing in an old tavern, she's elated. Less so when she spots the Witcher he's with.
But despite everything against them, maybe, just maybe, they will finally fall in love.
