A few weeks had passed since my first encounter with Jason he had let me have a little more freedom than usual as I was no longer chained to the bed downstairs every night. Our trust bond was starting to grow a little stronger with each passing day and the wound on my leg had also completely healed but left some scarring behind. During that time, I had asked him a few times to let me go with him on his rounds so I can get a chance to actually see the lake to which he had always replied with "soon" or "maybe one day" and I was starting to get impatient with him. Finally, the day came where I had enough of waiting on him and decided to go discover it for myself. He's usually gone for a few hours at a time, checking if everything was in order or has been tampered with. I snuck out the front door and pulled a map out of my pocket that showed where the lake was that I had taken with me in my backpack when I first came here. 'This shouldn't take me too long; I'll be back long before he notices that I was gone.' I thought to myself, grinning happily and started heading in that direction.

It only took me about 10 minutes or so of hiking to eventually come across it, it was the most beautiful lake I had ever seen in my entire life. The greenery that had surrounded it and the way the sunlight glistened off the top of the water was mesmerizing! I saw a little boat dock with a small boat tied at one of end of the lake, and then immediately ran to the dock itself. I only wanted to sit on the edge and stick my feet in for a little bit. I took my shoes and socks off and plopped down on the edge and soak my feet in the water about ankle deep. The water felt so warm and soothing on my feet, the bright sunlight beamed down on me. It all felt so good to me that I had begun to lose track of time.

JASON'S POV:

I just gotten finished with checking the eastern part of camp, so I went back to check on her to make sure she was still there and if she had possibly needed anything. I walked into the room in my lair, but to my shock had discovered she was gone! 'I told her to stay put until I got back!' I thought angrily to myself and unsheathed my machete. and I stormed out of the front door, slamming it open 'where did she go?!...the lake!' I thought and immediately stormed off in that direction.

ME:

I sat there moving my feet slowly back and forth in the water, leaning backwards a bit with my arms supporting me, closing my eyes and letting the sun shine down on me. It wasn't long before I felt something grab a hold of both of my legs, which made me scream loudly, and suddenly pulled me under the lake water. Water shot up my nose and into my lungs. I panicked, thinking I was going to die when I felt something wrap around me, holding me tightly. I struggled to break free from its grip. Once I finally did, I broke the surface of the water choking and gasping for air as I tried to swim desperately to the bank, knowing I wasn't a good swimmer to begin with. I managed to turn around for a moment to see Jason's head finally break the surface of the water. "NOOOO!!" I screamed and choked as I tried to get my footing on ground when he grabbed my right foot forcing me to fall. "please?" I whimpered and began to cry from fear as he straddled me. He held both of my arms down at my sides so that I wouldn't struggle with him anymore. I looked at him with begging and pleading eyes "please don't kill me!" I cried as I spit up water and tears streamed down my face. During our struggle I must have accidentally bumped his mask, because the whole left side of his of face was showing while his mask still covered the right side. I could see the look of anger and disappointment on his face.

But he soon realized he had made a huge mistake trying to kill me. I could see the look on his face go from extremely angry to immediate guilt. He did make a promise to his mother to never let me escape, but he also never really said he'd try to kill me if I did. Inside he felt horrible for what he had done to me.

"I'm sorry" he said to me with guilt in his voice.

He stood up and grabbed me by both arms and helped me stand up in front of him, he wrapped his soaking wet arms around me and held me tightly to his body as I still cried a bit laying my head against his chest.
