my aching headache was managing to swallow me whole. drinking the night before work always messed with my head.

after zara took me home she decided she wanted a little more to drink. but that little drink turned into two bottles of tequila.

i couldn't focus clearly. nor think clearly so how was i suppose to write.

i threw back my head managing to swallow the thick pain pills my boss had given me.

it was weird though because i had never seen a pain pill that big. and the colors were questionable.

skeptically, i trusted him. he was sweet and i was his best writer. why would he jeporodize success to poison me?

in an instant my headache drifted and i sighed in relief, only to feel a certain pain in my stomach.

it was swift but very much felt. maybe because i hadn't eaten a proper breakfast.

"mileena! come to my office." sighing, i closed my laptop and grabbed my purse.

i didn't really care what he wanted i just wanted this day to come to an end so i could hurry to the comforts of my bed.

i opened the door to his office and sat in my usual chair.

"what's the status on your story?"

"um.." i cleared my throat. "yes. so, it's been a bit difficult to get her responses for certain questions because she refuses to answer."

"but on the questions she do happen to respond to theres a bit of energy change. i can feel her passion towards certain subjects." i nodded.

"mhm. are you aware of your deadline on this story? grant corporation is at its peak, the whole world is watching. i need this story soon, mileena."

"how soon?" i pressed my eyebrows together.

"is one week enough? two?" he asked.

don't get me wrong, i could write paragraphs in minutes. i was excellent at time management.. but twenty pages in a week?

billie barely cooperated with the questions i laid upon her. she was difficult. and distracting.

my mind lingered to the kiss. something i dearly hope wasn't brought up.

"i could try but that means i'd have to spend more time with billie. we need to have some sort of arrangement because driving to the asylum everyday for a couple questions is exhausting." i pushed the bridge of my glasses up.

"i can contact the asylum but there will have to be days, you must drive there."

"contact them? what are you going to do? get them to drive her over here?" i laughed in question.

"yes. if it saves you time and money."

"are you serious? even if you did that where would i interview her? it would be too distracting for the other workers here, and she's definitely not coming to my house."

i like the state of mind not worrying about her showing up at my apartment because i showed her where i live.

"i have a house by the lake and if you don't mind living there with her for the week she assists you in the story, it is allowed to you." he closed his laptop.

"you want me to.. live with her?" i narrowed my eyes.

"temporarily, yes. if you don't mind." he moved swiftly around the room, collecting papers and looking through folders.

i couldn't really identify how i felt at that moment. living with her for a week? how.

"you think they'll release her?"
