PERCY HAD THOUGHT HIS DAD HAD BEEN LYING when he said he might send some other children of his 'his way.' He had not, however, thought a fourteen year old girl would show up with her hair disheveled and her clothes ripped, stained with red.
He had taken her to Camp Half-Blood — he just had had a feeling she wasn't the child of a Roman god or goddess. Chiron had taken her in, and Percy had thought that was the end of that. After all, his prophecies were over. He lives in New Rome now, with Annabeth.
Of course, it was never that easy.

Karissa Overholt had known she was a demigod for two years now. She had spent two years fighting monsters clumsily with her sword (though she had gotten a lot better since the first time she'd found one). In those two years, she had never known there was a camp for people like her. She wished she'd found it earlier — especially because of that cute girl in a cabin by herself — a portable trailer a daughter of Athena has designed — with a sign reading Tyche: Cabin #19.
She needed to find her cabin and change clothes to meet her, ASAP.

• i actually really like this oc x oc plot!! the idea of other poseidon kids 🤩
• karissa... a bisexual goddess?? she thinks the girl from tyche cabin (charlotte) is cute right away — she thinks about that rather than the camp LOL
• karissa's chaotic but also genuinely cares a lot. she's really fun and people are juat drawn to her really
• i imagine her powers to be like katara in avatar: the last airbender; bloodbending maybe?
• karissa's been on her own for two years, and even tho she never shows it at first — she's really bubbly and uplifting — she's resentful her dad never came to help / guide her throughout those two years she spent fighting monsters
• charlotte... most things go her way since she's tyche's daughter but! once we get into the quest portion having her cursed by nemesis (balance to tyche) would even things out?? i imagine her to be pan also? maybe she discovers her sexuality on the quest?
• charlotte is always trying to do something heroic to get her mom's attention — her mom loves giving out luck to heroes who are trying to save the world (nemesis always has the job of scrambling to balance it out by giving them bad luck) and it gives her a bit of a savior complex
• percy is CONFUSED like what. there are other poseidon children. but he would be less active in this book — he deserves his happy life in new rome w annabeth fr
• percy lowkey hates it. he thought he was done. forever. but now his sister is being roped into a quest by their dad and he's so tired
