Zenitsu, for some reason, was looking forward to training with Kanao again. She gives lots of amazing advice and pointers. Her explanations are a little confusing, but he understands them in the end. He's been improving, too.

   "Are you ready?" Zenitsu nodded.

They were practicing sword fighting. She came at him and he yelped.

She's really scary!

He blocked her swing, just barely. Her reflexes were off the charts. She was faster than him. And he thought he was fast. She started pushing him back, and he looked behind him to see how much room he had to step back. But she kicked his feet out from under him. He collided with the floor.

"Remember, when your moving backwards, keep your eyes on me. Or your opponent." Zenitsu blushed and nodded. "Gimme your hand, I'll show you." Zenitsu looked at her outstretched hand. His face was red and he felt his skin get prickly. He grabbed her hand.

"T-thanks..." She started caressing his hand.

"Your hands are blistered." Zenitsu flinched.

    "O-oh... yeah."

Is being touched by a girl this scary?!

Uzui watched from the doorway. For some reason he was irritated by Kanao. He saw his face all flushed and nervous. He could see his hands trembling. Zenitsu acted like that with him. So Uzui wasn't special. That's just how Zenitsu is. He isn't—wait. Why does he care? Zenitsu is nothing but a purchased person, an object. Uzui told him that. People have been bought and sold here before. Why is Zenitsu different?

God. What the hell is that kid doing to him?

"Kyojurou, I have a question." Rengoku blinked at him with a fixed expression.

"Uh. Sure?" Uzui looked him dead in the eye. His face serious, almost scary.

"Why am I so jealous." Rengoku laughed.

"What? About what? This is new." That's right. It is new. Uzui is always so prideful. He doesn't give two shits what people think, or want. People get jealous of him. Now he's jealous?

"Sunsh-Zenitsu is doing something to me. It's irritating." Rengoku laughed again.

"Gotta give me more than that, Tengen." He scrunched his nose in exasperation.

"Well, he was training with Tsuyuri, and he blushed when he touched her hand. I was so—so—"

"Jealous." Uzui sighed in defeat. He nodded and rubbed his temples. "Seems you're growing soft for him, huh?"

"I hardly know the boy. I mean he's a crybaby, he yells a lot, but he gets flustered easily." Uzui smiled.

"My, my, got the hots for the new boy-"

    "Shut it."

"That's not very flamboyant of you." Uzui glared at him.

"You've been improving, Zenitsu." To see if Kanao was actually doing her job, Uzui practiced with him a little.

"T-thank you!" Uzui smiled at him.

There it is again. That smile.

"Tanjiro will be training with you now. Kanao did an amazing job so far. But, she's been sent somewhere. So, Tanjiro will be her replacement." Zenitsu nodded.
