A little dream

It's class time and I'm sitting next to a boy I like, he doesn't know I like him, but we happen to be friends. We're just chatting about a drawing he was doing and he shows it to me.

"Once it's done, if I have the courage I'll give it to the girl I like.." He goes back to drawing it.

I call over the girl I believe he likes and take the drawing from him, showing it to her.

He gets angry of course, it isn't my place to do this but he gets distracted as a boy knocks over the diffuser on the corner of his desk. It spills all over his work and the teacher tells him to sit next to us, on my other side.

When he sits down, the girl I'm talking to starts flirting with him, he flirts back and it's now obvious that they like each other. I look to my friend/crush and he doesn't react, making it clear he doesn't actually like her, but someone else.

The bell rings, and myself and the girl leave the class together, heading to the auditorium where we hang out with our other friends and joke around on stage. Apparently there was an actual practice happening as we go to join our friends on stage and a teacher tries to grab us. We make an embarrassed run for it only to trip in the curtains and rip them.

A little while later, the bell rings and we have to go to class. The teacher had caught us and was walking us to class, on the walk back we meet up with the boys in the halls.

We continue towards our class as my crush/friend pulls me aside. His hands placed on my shoulders, staring deeply into my eyes, he explains to me that he doesn't have a crush on my female friend.

He grabs my hand and we continue to follow the others to the classroom. Our school has fingerprint sensors to get into classrooms and the buildings to prevent outsiders from breaking in, if an outsider attempts to enter the school goes into a full lockdown.

I accidentally slip and press my palm into the sensor, sending a blaring alarm off that causes me to fall back in fright. My crush grabs me by the waist before I hit the ground. I start to blush and make eye contact.

In lockdowns, the classrooms automatically lock and like the movies, metal rollers come down and cover the windows, metal bars encase the doors. Even though the teacher who was with us knew it was a mistake (a fairly common one) she had to follow protocol, ushering us into a corner and taking a protective stance in-front of us.

My crush pulls me to sit down next to him, and he holds my hand. He explains that it's me he likes, and laughs at the fact that this is such terrible timing. I go to kiss his cheek but another loud blaring alarm goes off.

I shoot up in my bed and realised the alarms weren't the lockdown in a school, it was my alarm clock. And the school never existed, it was a high-end school with lockdown safety measures? That definitely wasn't my school.

A/N: This is another true-ish story. This was actually a dream I once had and I found it written down in a book. I had planned to turn it into a story but have never done it so I'm putting it here.
