It is a complete, and may I say, undeniable trait of mankind, that when faced with it's own extinction ANY alternative is preferable. -The Director

North, Jenkins, and a squadron of marines boarded the Aggressor. Arizona and the other Deltas met him there. North put on his helmet. "So? Is Gold on-board?"

Vermont nodded. "He is. He's coming down the hall behind us."

They turned around, and there he was. Their enemy. Agent Gold.

Gold grinned. "Heh. This is gonna be fun." He drew two energy swords, and a team of Insurrectionists behind him all grabbed their weapons.

North cracked his knuckles and drew his two Arkblade broadswords. Jenkins slung his chaingun off his back and held it at the ready. Arizona drew his titanium-tungsten alloy katana. Vermont drew two pistols. Wash brandished his dual Gravity Hammers. Pennsylvania drew a DMR. The marines behind them held their guns ready.

This was sure to be the biggest, most crucial battle ever. Of all time.

North stepped forward. "Deltas, form up! CHARGE!!"

The battle had begun.

Oregon looked out at the Mako-class ship that had come out of slipspace next to the Fang. It appeared to have been modified, and well done at that. It fired at the Aggressor.

"Arsen, fire our MAC at the Aggressor! Let's take that out!" Oregon then contacted the Mako. "Unidentified ship, do you copy?"

Silence. The ship kept firing at the enemy.

"Unidentified ship, respond!"

Static. Then, a familiar voice. "Oregon, good to see you!"

"Identify yourself!"

"Oregon, it's me. Silver. Me and Sharpe went to pick up this ship for North. It's his backup plan."

Oregon face-palmed. "He had a backup ship? Nevermind. What's its name?"

Silver grinned. "Look on the side."

Lights on the sides of the Mako lit up to reveal it's name printed in white: Destiny's Edge.

North lept at Gold, the two blades colliding and showering sparks everywhere. Wash threw one hammer at an enemy, then charged through the ranks swinging to retrieve it. Penn hung back sniping. Vermont rolled, and shot at the insurrectionists. Arizona was surrounded. He rolled his eyes and swung his katana around, slicing the innies mortally.
