"Elijah??!"- Elena uttered looking stunned at Elijah as he walked to her on the Wickery bridge-"How are you here??"

"Magic." Elijah said.

Elena smiled at him a little. It was nice to see a familiar face after she dwelled all alone which seemed to be forever.

"The last I remember is that I was at a wedding... and then it just went away. Blackout."- Elena then said.

"Yes. The wedding."- Elijah said with some sadness in his eyes.

"No...don't tell me"- Elena's eyes now watered thinking of Jo.

"I am sorry, Elena. Your friend didn't make it."

Elena now looked away as if she was ashamed of her tears rolling down.

Elijah now reached for her and she wiped away her tears.

"It's fine. Cry."- he said.

"Huh...what else happened?!"- she then asked.

"Where do I start...but you are aware that you are in a sleeping state?!"- he then said offering her an handkerchief to wipe her tears off.

Elena noded and said- "I don't really get how...it feels like I wonder around from one place to another and then find myself here again at the bridge. It's like walking through a dream or some strange kind of nightmare. Probably I am imagining you now, too."

"Not really. Shall we take a walk?"- he then suggested.

"Yes."- Elena accepted.

And they walked down the road towards Mystic Falls.

"Ok... now, seriously, if you are not my dream thing, how are you here...and where am I actually?"- Elena then said.

"The Salvatores have put you in a coffin in their tomb. A Gemini witch linked you and Bonnie Bennett in a very complicated spell making your lives dependable. You are in some kind of limbo state."

"Right...if you are here then you are too in a limbo or..."

"Yes... I am in a limbo, too. I volunteered to find a way to break this magic. I am in some kind of magical induced coma"-Elijah explained.

"You volunteered?"- she uttered and her heart warmed up somewhat and she felt like it was something reawaken that she had put away to sleep.

"Yes, Elena."- Elijah confirmed.

Elena stopped for a moment.

"What is it?" he then asked.

"Why?"- she then asked.

"Must there be a reason?!"- Elijah said.

"If there is no reason, then I am dreaming this whatever the induced coma thing is! Something is no right out there, is it?"

"No... Bonnie is not well. And we have to undo this or both of you die."

"Oh... I knew it. But... how are you going to do this?!"- Elena then asked.

"Hope is in the process of finding the way."

"Hope?"

"Ah, I have forgotten to tell you one thing. It's the year 2039. She is a witch, like our mother was."

"An Original witch?!"- Elena stated.

"Yes."

"What has happened to Bonnie exactly?"- Elena looked at Elijah now seriously.

"The heretic witches took her. There is no way to locate her, except through you."
"You said she was not well?! Is she dying?"
"Kai had done something magically so her own magic is making her ill. We need to kill the heretics."-Elijah said.
"And you can't get to Kai-why?!"
"He is dead."-Elijah said.
"Everything is a crazy mess, isn't it?!"-Elena concluded.
Elijah nodded.
"But how could you get to me?"
"The doppelganger's blood made us. It's part of us -so Hope could link me to you."
"So, what happens now? What are we doing?"
"I need to wake you up. Come with me..."-Elijah stretched his hand out to her.
Elena now reached out with her hand to take his and as they touched everything blacked out.
