As my alarm clock goes off at 8 am, I open my eyes and roll on my bed. I've never been a morning person, and working all day doesn't help with my tiredness either. This summer job is exhausting. Working in a hotel is not what I expected, but as my dad said, I need this money to pay for University.
Luckily I only have a few days left in this fancy hotel and then I'll be back in London.
I decide to get up and after a quick shower I throw on my uniform and I head to the workers office.
"Good morning" I say when I step in the large room.
"Hey, Gabriella!" Rob, my boss, signals me to take a seat next to him. "Today we have a very important client and close friend of mine coming to the golf court, I'd like you to be their caddie for the day. Just walk them around, like you've done many times before, and if they need anything you must give that to them, understood?"
"Yes, sir." I nod in agreement.
"Call me Rob, for god's sake, you've been here for over two months and you're one of my best employees, that's why I trust you'll do this perfectly"
"Sure. When are they arriving here?" I say standing up.
"They should be having breakfast at the cafeteria right now, you'll find them there. Ask for Mr. Horan, and tell him I said hi"
"Okay. Anything else?"
"That's all Gabriella, and show off that pretty smile of yours, you're almost done dealing with me" he winks. He's surely not the worst boss I've ever had. He can be mean and strict at times, but he just wants the best for his hotel and clients.
I head out of the office and I make my way to the cafeteria. It's crowded with clients since it's July and every rich person in the country seems to want to go to the most posh hotel in the area.
Before I go up to Kendra, the restaurant receptionist, I spot a familiar face in the dinning area.
"Aiden?" I ask approaching my classmate from college.
"Gabbs! What are you doing here?" he immediately stands up and embraces me in a tight hug. He was one of my best friends in college when we studied photography together.
"I've been working here all summer! What brought you here?" He really isn't the type of guy I'd expect to see in this fancy hotel.
"I'm with a friend, I come here quite often really, is so weird I haven't bumped into you before" His skin is darker then I remember, and he is clearly more fit than he was when I last saw him.
"It is! Do you want to maybe grab lunch later or something, I haven't seen you in forever!"
"Yeah sure! You have to work now?" He says pointing at my uniform and laughing at how big it looks on me.
"Yes, unfortunately. I'm supposed to find this wealthy old man, Mr Horan or something like that" Just as I say that, he bursts out laughing and someone besides him spits his coffee off. I hadn't noticed he had company.
"Wealthy old man! She just called you a fucking old man!" Aiden can't contain his laughter as he turns around to the guy next to him.
"Shut up Aiden" He seems pissed but I see a hint of amusement on his face when he turns to face me, "Am I really that old?"
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I didn't know it was you, oh shit, I'm gonna get fired!" I start to panic while Aiden can't stop laughing next to me, "I really am sorry Mr Horan, I mean Niall, oh god"
"That's totally fine, you might just made my day" He says laughing and shaking my hand. I should just learn to keep my mouth shut, these things always happen to me. And why does it have to happen when I meet someone famous? I'm so stupid; I should've known it was him from his surname.
