Son of Artemis (Christmas A)

He had been a surprise, some would say a miracle but his mother considered him a curse. Artemis had never been cruel to Adam but she also did not hide that he should have been a girl that she had manifested to help her huntresses out. However Adams grandfather messed with the magic last minute and gave himself a grandson,  Once Adam arrived his grandfather lost interest having gotten what he wanted.

Growing up Artemis taught her son everything she was able to and loved him as much as she could, however Adam did not see his mother much as demigods were not allowed to live with their parents in mount Olympus. Instead he was mainly raised by one of Artemis's top hunters, a woman by the name of Rose, who taught him all about his mother and what she stood for since Artemis could not do it herself most of the time.

When Adam was 16 he was woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of his guardian fighting something, he rushed to see what it was only to be shocked to find a hellhound locked in a battle to the death with his guardian and main mother figure in his life. He stood there frozen in shock for a brief moment before he snapped out of it, drew his dagger and joined the fight eventually helping Rose to slay the beast. Once the threat was ended, Rose began to get ready to leave while rushing Adam to get ready himself and insisting she would explain on the way.

Once the two were out the door and on the road, Rose began telling Adam of a safe camp for people like him that would protect him as she could not watch out for him and keep him safe now that he is being actively hunted. Adam was unsure about having to leave home especially after the recent attack but he also figured he had no choice in the matter.

Eventually the pair got to the camp entrance where Rose gave him a quick hug and sadly explained that she could not cross the boundary even though she wanted to before she sent him across the boundary and apparent forcefield. Adam was greeted by an owl a couple meters into the forest just past the entrance, the owl circled around him before squawking at him and flying off as if it was trying to get Adam to follow it witch he did.

Adam followed the owl for a little while until he was led to an archery field that was currently playing host to a class with a very bored looking instructor. As he approached the field he began to see a sprawling camp behind it, Once he was at the edge of the field he could see the entire stretched out camp complete with 12 cabins. Adam only got a chance to glimpse the camp before the bored looking instructor was next to him asking who he was and where he came from.

Once Adam explained his story he was ushered to a large house near the middle of the house, where he had to explain his story to a centaur.  After the second explanation, the centaur welcomed him to camp and gave him a tour while explaining what the camp was for as well as the cabin system when they reached his cabin, Adam found a bow and quiver with 10 arrows on the door step, a gift from his mother it was explained. 

Once the tour finished, Adam went back to his cabin taking joy at the fact that he didnt have to share before placing the bow somewhere safe and going for a nap
