The New Ruler And Him

The Beginning

France's POV

It was a cold day from the rain last night. I turned away from the window and looked back down at the paperwork in front of me.

I knew taking care of a whole nation was going to be hard. But I wanted to do it for my people. Since the ruler before me couldn't. My mother... I felt like I wanted to throw up just thinking about her. The fact that she couldn't take care of her own people- suddenly my thoughts got cut off.

"My lady, it seems some of the countries wanted to meet the new leader of France." I looked up to see one of the maids bowing down in the doorway. "I see... We can arrange a..." I wanted to say something like a ball, but I knew money was doing horrible.

"My lady?" The maid said breaking my trance, and I said "We we'll have to wait, this country needs fixing before we can continue with that." "But ma'am we have to-" I got out of my chair pushing it out loudly so it would stop her from her talking. I walked up to her and put my hand on her face. "I care more about this country, then introducing myself. I made a promise that I'd make this country great again." The Maid stood still in disbelief, but also in honor.

"Yes ma'am." She said as she bowed down before exiting the room. I signed as i sat back down in the chair and continued my work.

UK's POV

This hall seems so long. It's like it goes on forever. I need to get to a little meeting with england... My mother. (In my little world, england is the UKs mother.) Finely here. I went to open the door... "Sir, we have the news that France has fallen!" I quickly turned around to see one of the house maids out of breath. "What?" i said confused and wanting her to repeat the sentence. "The queen of France has fallen sir." She said more calmly this time.

I was shocked, but at the same time all that kingdom did was party while the people suffered. So i was excepting a revolution. Though I still wondered who took her place.

"Sir, are you ok?" She said to the tall country. I got out of my thinking and looked back at the worried girl. "Yes, I'm fine. I promise. Just go back to your work." I said in a strictly tone. She bowed before going back her her job.

I signed before looking back at the door wishing that the conversation went on longer, but knew getting this done would be better then having to deal with it later.

I opened the door slowly to see england getting aggravated at one of the workers. "Are you seriously- listen... move the painting to the left a little- No to the left!-" "Mother- mo- mother!" I said louder so she could hear me through her anger. She turned to look at me. You would think she'd have a loving motherly expression, but no. It was pure disgust.

"What do you want?" She said. I was confused at the fact that she was the one who called me in the first place. "Ma'am, you called me-" "oh, right yeah I wanted to talk to you." She said cutting me off a little. "One of our boats went off track due to a storm finding... new land." 'New land!?' i thought to myself. "Before the word gets out, I'd like to make most of the land ours before anyone else can get their hands on it. Understand?"

"Yes, yes ma'am."

I walked out of the room closing the door silently only to hear more screaming. I was surprised that the fact that there was land that we haven't uncovered... I wonder if the people there are peaceful, or chaotic, or perhaps have a good civilization. So many thoughts are going through my head... Especially France.

Me and France have never been... On the same side. More rivalry then regular allies. But I wonder if this one's different. I decided to go visit the country alone, but also to be careful. Of course I brought a weapon to be careful in case of this newfound ruler, has a rather more harsh opinion about me in anyway.
