The morning sunlight falls past the curtains, filling the room with gentle light and illuminating the kingsize bed with twisted sheets and a body. There's a slight shift in her body as she kicks her leg out and her arm reaches out to the other side of the bed. She pats around for another body, causing her to peek her eyes open to find it empty. There are a few solid moments before her mind starts to process things.

Memories of the night before flashed through her mind, causing her to sit up in a panic. Her breathing hitches as she looks around her room, finding her clothes from the previous night had been picked up and thrown in the laundry basket. Hearing her phone chime beside her, she turns to see the screen lit up and she jumps for it. Unlocking her phone, she sees messages from her father to remind her of a family dinner that evening. Nothing else other than a few work-related emails.

Sighing in relief, she quickly responds to her father's message and then goes to message her two closest friends since high school. She knows Yeong-Ja is in town visiting Draken and Kariya always tries to make time for a quick meet-up. They have to meet up with her, she doesn't know what to do, or what it could do to her life.

Being married to the infamous Mitsuya Takashi and being his second in command of his brand is one thing, but sleeping with Hanma Shuji after he waltzes back into her life is another. How would she even break this to her father? She ordered some of the members to watch the room so Hanma wouldn't leave or try anything stupid. How will she even admit she made the taboo of having an affair behind Takashi's back?

Rolling onto her back and now laying diagonally in bed, her hands rake through her hair as she rolls and groans. Her legs kick around the sheets and her body bounces a bit in the bed with each slam of her foot. She likes where her life is now, but she had to screw it up for stupid Hanma. Does she still love him? There could be no way, she hasn't seen him since they were seventeen. She's twenty-four now and married! How is she going to tell Takashi?

"Good morn- Akito, what are you doing?"

Takashi walks into their shared bedroom with a tray with their breakfast on it. His eyebrows furrowed slightly in confusement to see his wife's head under a pillow and her legs kicking the tangled sheets. He hasn't seen her act like that first thing in the morning since she was stressing over her final exams and entrance exams for colleges.

Akito rips the pillow off her head to see him standing in the doorway before sitting up. Her hair is tousled from rolling in bed, her pajamas are rumpled and off-center from sleep, and her erratic movements in bed. Her once frantic expression falls to one of relaxed and stoicism.

"Nothing, Darling." She responds to his question as if she isn't fighting with herself. Her amber eyes fall to the tray and she raises a finger to point at it. "What do you have there?"

"I made breakfast since you had a rough night last night." He says as he nears the bed, watching her curl her legs to herself and cross them. "Are you doing better now?"

She nods and smiles, "Now that I have my safety pin with me, yes." She fondly responds. He sets the tray on the bed before her and kisses her cheek before sitting across from her. "Thank you for breakfast, Darling."

He smiles, "No need to thank me," He chuckles as she first grabs a slice of buttered toast and takes a bite into it. "I'm happy that you came home in one piece. I know how difficult your meetings go with Kira."

She pauses her chewing with her stomach dropping. That's right, she told him last night that she went to a meeting for her father's gang. In the past, there have been times she's come home and into his arms begging him not to leave her due to the men telling her someone like Takashi would leave her. Or even when they're on their last dying breath, they're telling her that Takashi should've been with someone better.
