Tortured by happiness and by strife--

Pray, dear Death, hide not thy face,

Kiss me now, and let me die,

Under the flowers let me lie,

Under the grass and leaves that sigh

In the wind that carries the birds that fly

With the melancholy clouds in the darkened sky.
