Headaches never seem to stop, they just change places. The worst and most common place to have a headache for Noe it's right between her eyes and on top of the bridge of her nose, the pressure sometimes travels to her forehead too.
"Maybe it's stress? " Said Xenia.
Noe had met Xenia some months ago, or maybe met isn't the right word. She had started keeping Noe company out of the blue, when she first noticed her sitting alone during PE. Ever since then Xenia checks up on her daily and talks to her about her latest tasks as the leader of the environmental awareness club (ena) .
Xenia has long, fire colored, wavy hair and big black eyes. Her hugs smell like the sea and her voice is cheerful and sweet.
"It could be stress" Noe replied. "But it could also be lack of sleep"
"Could be both! "
"That's not good... "
Her phone rang
"Oh sorry, gotta aswer this, it's my crush! "
She walked away a small distance. It's the boy she's always talking about, with the "piercing eyes" and "a mysterious expression". Noe thought she should help her get with him, but she's no good when it comes to advice like that, she's better off teaching history.
" He.. Hehe" Xenia returned, a playful walk back to where she was sitting before.
"Guess what! "
"What? "
"He volunteered to help me with some assignments at the library in the afternoon, isn't it romantic! "
"That's good"
"The perfect time for me to make a move, but I'm not so sure what I should do. Maybe I should leave it up to the ambience to tell me"
"Good luck then. "
"Woo hoo! "
And just like that she was gone. Very enthusiastic about a task full of dread, the "first move", Noe thought.

5 pm, Xenia was ready. She had made her bag and was walking to the library with two coffees in her hands, humming an old love song about the moon.
The boy's name was Chance, he always wore a cold expression on his face, making him seem mean and out of reach, when in reality he just enjoyed minding his own business. Xenia had been let in on a little secret, Chance had an obsession with mythology. He always loved learning about ancient civilizations which helped him ace every history test, Noe secretly wanted to believe he just cheated every time.
When Xenia finally found the perfect table for them (a table beside a window, which had started to gain a subtle golden color in response to the setting sun), she set down her bag and started sipping her coffee mindlessly, hopefully it would give her enough energy to think straight whenever this boy would decide to make eye contact.

He showed up 10 minutes later, with another girl by his side, they were close enough for Xenia to hear their conversation.
"Shut up Daku, I'm not helping you study! "
"You promised you would! "
"With history! Not rhetoric lessons! "
"But I have competition, you know that devil of a girl is coming back to get me! "
"I literally couldn't care less"
Ok, Xenia thought, they don't seem to be in a relationship. They sound a lot like siblings tho, oh how she misses her own brother.
Chance caught sight of Xenia and sat down, waving Daku off. She signed in defeat before flipping him off and walking away.
"Sorry about my friend"
"It's totally fine! "
"Now, where should we start? "
