Finishing what I started

FLASHBACK

This basilisk will be killed by the foul's heir indirectly through manipulation; unfortunately for him, I'll never allow it. I curse whoever kills my basilisk with horrible luck and love and who gives him nothing but heartbreak (well, that already happened, but he was the one who caused heartbreak; maybe next time I should give away better curses). The chamber will be hidden well, as long as my heir is alive and my bloodline continues, and I also declare a blood feud to the families of Weasley, all but the twin lords from the line Prewett, for all the harm they caused him; they just deserve it, and to the house of Dumbledore, none of my descendants can break it. I curse "him" for his ignorance and foolishness; he will lose what is most important to him, for he dares to kill innocents and destroy my heir, his wife, and his child, but the curse will only start when Lady Hecate deems it."

END OF ENTRY-3

PRESENT TIME

Who is the Peverell heir?

The Weaselys are very kind; she must be lying!

Why does she dislike Dumbledore? He saved us many times from Gellert Grindelwald and You, Know, Who.

Is that why Slytherin thought muggle-borns were inferior to children from wizarding families?

Didn't Harry Potter kill the Basilisk?

What are the trials she referred to?

ENTRY-4

It was an extremely exhausting day. He left me all the paperwork and left a note telling me to complete it. Why do I feel that the seemingly innocent-looking plant added to Helga's collection is nothing but trouble? and fun?

Since I told Rena that I was spying on a diary entry, I had to finish it to keep her from getting suspicious. Now I am spying by 'interrogating' Ellie. Well, she does know what it's for, just not the whole truth or a full lie.

MEMORY

"Ellie, could you tell me about yourself? I mean, family history, and about what you like and dislike." (Ellie blushes so hard that her face resembles a tomato.) Then she replies, Pleasure to, uh, you know what? Let us continue. I am Helga Liliane Hufflepuff, sole heiress of Liliane Hufflepuff, nee Sierra and Edward Hufflepuff, and sister to Julius and Hadrian Hufflepuff. I am supposed to teach at Hogwarts, a wizarding school, in about two years. I enjoy gardening and brewing potions in my leisure time. I apprenticed under Madame Artemis for healing, which includes practicals, theory, and brewing. ( Magic flowed into the room. Ellie's face turned to one of panic, and she said, "I got to go. The potion is at the last stage of brewing. See you at supper."

END OF MEMORY

Well, Ellie is a kind, shy, but very fierce soul who takes care of the people she loves (I say that she and Ric are very similar, even though both of them disagree and end up as a blushing mess). She acts like a mother hen; you can trust her with nearly anything; she will never betray your secrets unless they threaten you or your family. Anyway, there are only two more people left, so Rena will be convinced, Auntie will be cackling when she comes to know about this, and she will never hear about it from me, definitely not me. Next is Ric. Ah, I need to make preparations for tonight; it would be better to finish it at a go. Now I feel like an interviewer for some magazine or television show (what is a magazine, and who names some kind of Vision Tele?).

Is it time to spy? (definitely not) interrogate? (not the exact word) interview? (Not exactly.) What about speaking to my friends about family history, their lives, and themselves (which suits them better than the others)?

MEMORY

Gordic and Salazar are in the middle of a wondrous duel, with Ellie (who finished brewing the potion) as the healer and Rena as the witness. Those traitors were duelling without inviting me; of course, I let my disappointment vanish and walked to stand beside Ellie. Rena is eyeing me and the diary in my hands. The match ended with a tie. Sal has a scrape on his shoulder, and Ric has a scratch on his stomach. Helga heals Sal first, quoting "children first," to which Sal playfully scowled and Ric pouted. After they were healed, I pulled Ellie aside and told her about me talking to Ric, and I told her to join if she wished to. Then I "politely" asked Ric to come with me (why couldn't I have come up with another story to tell Rena? 'dramatically sighs' was no use in reminding her of what happened in the past; now I had to complete what I started). I explained the dairy entry and asked him to tell me about himself. He gladly complied and said, "Congratulations to whoever cracked the curses and wards she has on her diary. I am Godric William Griffindor, son of Lord William and Lady Jasmine, and brother to Dahlia Black nee Griffindor. I enjoy spending my time with my friends, family, and Helga, duelling, and researching. I will be taking on the post of Deputy Headmaster when our school opens. Sal was clever enough to suggest it, so he will be headmaster. Well, he is the only opponent except Anna here who can beat me. Salazar is like the little brother I never had, and he usually acts like an advisor. I am good at charms and blood magic. I am a grey-core wizard. I apprenticed under Master Liam Smith for the art of changing and inscriptions. Well, that's all the basics about me and some of my opinions.

END OF MEMORY

This is tiring; only one more to go, and she won't suspect me (yay!). Godric is like your older brother; he is a 'little' reckless and brash and is very straightforward, always on point, and says what he wants to say. At last, Sal. Well, it's late; I should catch him now when he is on his walk.

MEMORY

I was walking near the shore of the magnificent lake and nearly forgot about Sal, but fate works in mysterious ways since he called out to me. Sia, what are you doing at this time? asked Sal, I honestly replied (no half-truths and no half-lies) that I was looking for him, he gestured for me to follow him, and he took me to a viewpoint that looked even prettier since the sun hadn't set, and I told him about the diary and asked him to tell the lucky person who finds the diary about himself. "Hello, I'm Salazar Slytherin, son of Lady Adhara Slytherin, and am currently sixteen years old. My hobbies are practicing magic, duelling, drawing, and brewing potions. I enjoy spending my free time with friends and family. I am gifted in the art of potions and other family magic. I am a pure grey-cored wizard who can cast many different branches of magic easily. I am apprenticing under Madame Dorothy Potter for a mastery of potions and inscriptions. I guess that's the bare minimum." He ended the words meant for the entry (I guess that I forgot to mention that I will use the whole memory instead of just his words; I don't think that it's a problem, and I'll tell him tomorrow). He acted like a true gentleman and walked me to my living quarters, said goodnight, and left.

END OF MEMORY

Sal is the most charming out of the four of them; his silver tongue could convince people to do anything and everything. He acts too mature at times and cares immensely for the people he loves. He suggested the idea of building a school so that the price of education decreases. Well, no more suspicious Rena, and now whoever gets your hands on this will get a better view of them. I need to head to bed now. Tomorrow the council is finalising the decision and the new rule will be passed, so the other children of the underworld will have fewer responsibilities, meaning that I won't have too much paperwork. I'll talk more about it in the next entry I write.

END OF ENTRY

As soon as the entry was completed, people were baffled. A Griffindor was marrying a black, dark family. A Slytherin openly talking about being the apprentice of a Potter—a ridiculously light family (or so people believed)—made voices and rumours spread faster than wildfire. But of course, the diary will put an end to it, right? No, Dumbledore needed time to think and alter his plans accordingly, meaning he needed to read the diary first, so he sent the children off to bed by saying that it was too late and that they needed rest, and he told them that they could continue this the next day at dinner. After he was in the privacy of his office, he tried to read the diary, but he was unable to. Furiously, he destroyed half his office and started to alter the plans due to the damage caused. He regrets not reading the diary first, and unfortunately for him, he will regret that decision, among many others, immensely.
