Why Don’t I Just Ram My Fist In Your Face?

Chapter One: Introducing Me

March 16, 2011- Wednesday

Guess what?! It’s freaking’ summer baby! Yes! I can do absolutely everything I’ve been dying to do, since school started! I can finally sleep in! Not like I haven’t been doing that during the school semester. Hehe… Thanks to our recognition ceremony last Monday, I am a free girl now! Wahoo! No homework, no stupid essays to write and well lastly no school! This is bliss, I tell you. Hmm, I can even catch up on some reading this break. Wait, I think I read all the books in my room, ACK! No worries, I’ll just head over to the mall and buy some more. I have been saving up on money. Problem solved! I can invite the guys over to hang out without having to worry about school the next day! This is so great! Hmm, speaking of the guys I wonder what tree they’ve been hiding at. I haven’t seen them since the ceremony, what’s up with that? Gahh! Look at me getting obsessed over small things. It’s fine I’ll just call them up when I have time. Since it’s the summer season and everything, I think I owe myself a new wardrobe! Yeah baby! New clothes! Now that I think of it I need a swimsuit maybe even matching flip flops. My swimsuits are getting a little tight, if you catch my drift. Okay fine, I admit I have indeed gained a little fat here and there *cough* like the belly *cough*. At least I’ll have something to wear for Emma Barcelon’s Summer Bash! So anyway, it’s the summer folks and I think I’m going to milk it up for what its worth. Á tout à l'heure everyone! (Means toodles, you dumdum! :P) Anyhow, I’ll be signing off now.

And send! I clicked the tiny x on the top right corner of my screen to close my internet browser. So many things to do so little time! If only I had something to do, that is…Hmm? I better call Hannah. I grabbed my backpack and rummaged for my phone. It must be here somewhere! Ah, found it! I picked up my phone and unlocked it. I clicked my phonebook, and scrolled for Hannah’s number. There it is. I heard it ring, and waited for her to answer. While waiting I tapped my fingers on my desk top to relieve my boredom.

“Hello! Hannah here. How may I help you today?” I heard Hannah chirp through the phone, popping her bubblegum as she talked.

“Hannah-bee it’s me Amy!” I squealed. I was really looking forward to talk to her; you see we hadn’t talked since Sunday and I was missing my best friend like majorly. [A/N: Bimbo moment, excuse me while I scrub my brain]

“Amy bear! How goes it? I haven’t talked to you since Sunday. I miss you girl. How was the ceremony?” she said in a rush.

She’s talking about the recognition ceremony our school held last Monday. Hannah wasn’t there because she was with her parents visiting relatives.

“I’m fine. The ceremony was okay. Same like last years, it wasn’t as bearable though because I didn’t have my buddy to keep me company” I said, narrowing my eyes as if I were looking at her.

I could hear her snigger. “Sorry buddy, you know my parents don’t like leaving me alone in the house. Besides I’m pretty sure you’re lying about it being unbearable... Mitchell was there. I bet he kept you plenty company, huh? Am I right?” She finished smugly. I could imagine her grinning like that Cheshire cat from Alice and Wonderland. Yikes.

My cheeks flushed a light shade of pink, when I heard his name. Clearing my throat I rambled out a “Hannah! You know I had that crush like ages ago…” trying to convince myself the same thing. “Anyway just to keep you from insinuating anything else if I didn’t tell you, Mitchell did keep me company that night, but only for a few minutes before returning to his mates. We only talked about how this year’s theme colors weren’t as good as last year’s.” I finished with a sigh.

“Seriously Ames, if you weren’t my best friend, I would’ve already smacked you in the head for your lack of common sense! I mean come on!” She still would’ve smacked me in the head even if I was/am her best friend! What the heck is she talking about?!

“For crying out loud, there are a billion other things to talk about and you guys decide to talk about scheme colors?!” She spoke incredulity lacing her words, and then much to my surprise, not; she bursts into fits of laughter.

“Had enough yet?” I sigh.

More chuckles come out of her mouth, great. I couldn’t help but smile at my friend’s foolishness.

“It’s not even that funny when you think of it.” I say with an eye roll.

At this point she starts wheezing because of laughing too hard. That should teach her, hmp. I figure she’s trying to regain her breath, because all I could hear was her inhale and exhale.

“Sorry” she choked, “I couldn’t help it. Seriously though Ames, you should tell him how you feel. Maybe he might feel the same way. You never know.”

“Yeah right, Hannah. Mr. Popular talk to me? As if”, I said with a teasing tone. “I’m just another face in the crowd; he’s the person who the crowd fawns over. We’re from totally different worlds Hannah. You better forget about any silly scenarios you’ve cooked up in that head of yours, alright? Besides it’s just a crush Hannah, it’ll blow over before we know it. Please let’s just talk about something else.”

She sighed, but thankfully agreed. “Okay, fine. We will talk about something else. But don’t say I didn’t tell you so.” She replied probably rolling her eyes at me. “Anyways about Barcelon’s party...”
