"I'm bored!"

Death stands to the side, watching as their master complains.

"I've tried everything! There's only so many different lives you can live before it all gets boring, I mean, maybe if I was doing it with someone else, someone who understands! Someone who won't die and leave me... to..." he trails off as his eye catch on deaths silent figure. "Death!"

"Yes master?" Deaths voice rattles.

"You understand! Well, maybe not human life, I still can't believe you didn't know what a hug is, but immortality!"

Death stays silent.

"You should reincarnate with me!" Harry continues, unbothered by deaths silence.

"Yes master."

"We can be twins! In one of those worlds with heroes, you can be called Pluto and I'll be Harry as usual!" Harry turns to death with a wide grin. "This will be fun!"

Pluto stands in an alley, staring up at the stars above as he waits for Harry to return. He stays still as he hears running footsteps approach and even as he's scooped into someones arms, a knife pressed to his throat.

"Don't come any closer!" the man holding him screeches, turning to face two familiar figures, Red hood and Nightwing, who both freeze. "I'll kill him!"

Pluto frowns a little at that, Harry won't be happy if he dies. Speaking of, Harry jumps out from behind the man and punches him in the crotch, hard. Pluto is dropped and easily steps to the side as Harry kicks the guy in the knee, sending him to the ground, before whirling around to face his twin.

"I left you alone for five minutes," he deadpans.

Pluto nods in agreement, he was left alone for five minutes. Harry sighs.

"You kids ok?" Nightwing asks while Red hood goes to tie up the guy.

"We're fine," Harry scowls.

Pluto doesn't answer, distracted, watching Red hood.

"Pluto?" Harry asks, noticing Pluto's distraction.

"Can I fix him?" he asks.

Harry follows Pluto's line of sight to Red Hood who has stiffened and turned to them at the question.

"What's wrong with him?" Harry asks.

"The green," Pluto answers.

Harry turns back to him, not noticing the two vigilantes stiffen.

"I need more information then 'the green.'"

Pluto turns to Harry.

"It twists his mind."

"And what does that have to do with... you?" he asks.

"The green brought him life, but it also brought anger and destruction."

"Ah, makes sense."

"Can I fix him?"

"How long would you feel shit for?"

Pluto turns back to Red hood eyes narrowing in thought.

"A week?"

"Hm, we don't have enough supplies to hide out for a week."

"What do you mean fix him? Are you a meta?" Nightwing asks before Pluto can reply.

Harry shrugs.

"Pluto has some kind of connection to death and has some weird abilities to do with it. I'm guessing this 'green' brought Red Hood back from the dead, but with side effects, Pluto can fix the side effects, but that would make him feel like shit for at least a week," Harry explains, then pauses, "tell anyone and I'll take your kneecaps."

"You can fix it?" Red hood says, voice low.

"We live on the streets, Hood, we can barely get by as it is, we can't have one of us sick for a week," Harry scowls.

"What if we give you somewhere to stay?" Nightwing tries.

"We're not going into foster care," Harry growls.

"Just for a week then," he offers, "until Pluto feels better?"

Harry looks to Red Hood, then to Pluto and sighs.

"Fine! You better not make us regret this."

Pluto walks up to Hood, stops, and turns to look at Harry.

"Take your helmet off and sit down," he tells Hood.

Hood hesitates only a second before he stiffly drops to his knees and removes his helmet, a domino mask left covering his eyes. Pluto reaches up and places the tips of his fingers to each of Hoods temples, before slowly pulling them away, a trail of toxic green following them. The green fades a second later.

"Better?" Pluto asks.

"Y-yeah," he stutters, mind feeling clearer and lighter than it had since he had died. "Thanks kid."

Pluto blinks and turns to Harry.

"I'm going to pass out."

Pluto drops, Hood the only one close enough to catch him before he hits the floor.

"When you said he'd 'feel shit' I thought you meant he'd be tired!" Hood hisses.

Harry looks at him like he's an idiot.

"Pluto just removed a parasite strong enough to bring people back from the dead from your mind while shielding you from it, when I said 'feel shit' I mean if you weren't certain he'd be better in a week you'd take him to the hospital."

"Why'd you let him do it then?" Nightwing cuts in, curious.

"Him feeling shit for a week is better than the guilt he'd feel if he didnt. He's got a..." he snorts, "a saving people thing."

Hood looks down at the unconscious kid in his arms and frowns.

"So," Harry starts, "where are we going?"

Harry scans the manor before him, mind automatically comparing it to others he's seen through his lives.

"You know someone who owns a manor well enough to drop a couple of random kids off?" he asks as he follows Hood, who's still holding his brother, up to the front door, Nightwing having left them with him earlier.

"Bruce Wayne helps fund Batman and I occasionally work with Batman, anyway he's used to it," Hood answers as he lifts a hand, easily holding Pluto in the other and knocks.

20 seconds later, the door opens to an elder man who sighs at the sight of them.

"I shall prepare some rooms. Does the young sir need medical attention?" he asks.

"He just needs rest and maybe some medicine? I don't know if it will work, we've never been able to try it before," Harry replies, missing Alfreds slight wince and Hoods shoulders stiffening.

"I am Alfred Pennyworth, what is your name sir?"

"I'm Harry and this is Pluto."

"Nice to meet you Harry, please come inside."
