"Georgia, come on" shouted Dean as he passed by the bedroom door in a hurry.
"Alright, sorry" mumbled Georgia, not entirely listening.
"Oh my god you can't be serious" said Dean sticking his head into the room. "How aren't you even finished packing yet?"
"I got distracted" replied Georgia, turning around to face him from where she was sitting at her dressing table.
"I swear, you getting distracted or preoccupied by multiple things better not become a common occurrence" said Dean, rolling his eyes as he walked away. "Now hurry up."
The school year had passed by rather quickly and now it was summer again, Georgia having finished her second year at college and now moving onto university. She honestly didn't know how she was going to fare, the exams she just did were hard enough as it was meaning the university ones were definitely going to be twice as difficult. However, education and striving to become a functional and working adult weren't currently at the forefront of Georgia's mind. Before the events of last summer, Georgia assumed she would be nonstop thinking about either Connor or Will when she returned to college. Oh how wrong she had been. Sure she was thinking about them but not in the way she first thought she would, now more friendly than loving, and she was excited to see them again this holiday. Despite them being around though, strangely the person Georgia was most excited about seeing was the one person that had always seemed like he didn't want to be seen by her. Drew Dawson.
He had been going around, invading, and taking over most of Georgia's thoughts for the better part of a year and she was a little ashamed to say that she'd actually searched his name on multiple social media accounts. He had been there but he wasn't much of a poster, the only updates either being from when he first made the account at the age of 13 or when he was tagged in posts by other people. Drew had looked good in all the recent pictures and had been an adorable preteen. The posts consisted of parties people had had and there'd been a group photo taken, his uni flatmates posting a picture of their accommodation and he'd be in the background, or his friends sharing videos of them together when they managed to reunite. Georgia was happy to see Connor, Will and Drew's friendship hadn't been forgotten about or deteriorated over the months of absence from one another since separating for uni, the most up to date post having only been uploaded about a week ago by Connor when they all went surfing.
"Hey" said Joey, suddenly appearing.
"Oh hey" replied Georgia, smiling. "How did you get in here?"
"Your front door was just wide open" said Joey, shrugging. "Bit dangerous if you ask me. Any freak or weirdo could just stroll inside."
"Yeah... I'm starting to get that" replied Georgia, laughing.
"Joey, is that you?" Shouted Dean from downstairs.
"It is indeed" shouted Joey back.
"Great, maybe you get actually get Georgia to pack something" shouted Dean.
"For sure" shouted Joey before turning to Georgia. "Didn't we have this problem last year as well?"
"Probably" said Georgia, sighing. "Are you actually going to help me?"
"I mean, not physically" replied Joey, pursing his lips. "I'm more here as a cheerleader. You know, verbally motivating you into doing something."
"Cool" said Georgia, pulling some clothes out of her drawers and beginning to fold them. "I just wanted to thank you for inviting me and my dad again."
"Technically this is only the first time I'm inviting your dad, Jen asked him last time" replied Joey, clarifying. "But you're welcome. Everyone's excited to see you."
