*Y/n Maximoff POV*
I wake up due to the sunlight shining through my window. I curse myself for not closing the curtains. If I had, I wouldn't be awake right now. I hate mornings.I lay there silently as I debate what I should do. It was something I did every morning. Then I would go downstairs and be a grouch around Damon and Stefan. It was becoming a cycle now.
They were well aware I wasn't a morning person. So, they tried to give me space. I roll out of bed though and trudge along to the kitchen where I smelt coffee and food. Damon was the only one in here right now, but this just means that Stefan will be in soon.
"And coffee for you." Damon murmurs, setting a coffee in front of me.
I smile tiredly at him, slowly pulling it towards me and taking a sip. I felt relieved to taste this glorious heaven that will keep me awake.
"Thank you." I mumble.
"Mhm. I did it because I need you to be nice to me and Stefan for what we are about to say." He says.
My eyebrows furrow as I look at him. What could that possibly mean? Did someone die? Are they kicking me out? Or did they call up a bunch of witch's to handle me for once and for all? As these thoughts race through my mind, Stefan walks in and takes a seat.
"Sounds like someone died or I'm getting kicked out." I mumble.
I stand, bringing my cup of coffee with me as I stand by the window, looking out it.
"We aren't kicking you out and no one died." Stefan says, chuckling.
"We are enrolling you in school. Technically Alaric is. Your his "niece"." Damon says, doing the air quotations around the word niece.
I pause, the coffee cup was midway towards my mouth before I slowly lower it. School? School...they just said they enrolled me in school...me. Surely they can't actually do that. I am several centuries old.
I turn and look at them, still in shock by what they said. They were looking at me, also mentally preparing themselves for my reaction.
"School? No way. If you guys hate me that much, just tell me. Don't send me to that hellhole with a bunch of nasty teenage humans. And aren't I too old?" I say.
I'm too old, surely. And I am learning for the most part what I should be doing in this time of the century. I've picked up on fashion from several fashion designers. Technically I forced Damon to drive me around and I would learn what knowledge people had. Like, English. It's changed a lot since I was awake. Math would hurt my brain too much so I skipped that. But, even on the history aspect of life.
"Nice try, babe. Stefan goes to school. So you can too. It'll be good for you. Don't be so dramatic." Damon says, grinning at me.
Oh that little asshole.
I will make him suffer for this. He thinks this is genuinely funny. I'll show him funny in no time.
"You do realize I'm older than both of you by several centuries? I don't need to go to school. I'll be fine." I say, smiling at them sweetly.
I take another drink from my coffee. It made me feel happier having this heaven in my life.
"You are going and that's final. We got your school stuff. You start tomorrow." Stefan says.
Leave it to broody, moody Stefan to finalize the decision. He can't joke around even if he actually wanted to. Well...he could, but he's not good at it! So, I did the only thing I could of done—bring Elijah into it.
"I'm telling on you guys to Elijah!" I exclaim.
Childish, I know. But, surely Elijah would save me from the monstrous, horrendous plan them two boneheads have. I start to run out of the room with my phone.
