Dej Khov stopped right in Utjirini's tracks, causing her to jump.

"Don't repeat what happened last time. Last time you stormed out of camp like that, you set yourself and others up for a death wish. I'm not blaming you, but it lead to many of our clanmates' deaths, like Saccharo, Pira Ryru, and," she choked on the last name, a small tear steadily making its way down her cheek, "Gloei." Did Dej Khov like Gloei? That didn't matter right now. Utjirini wasn't in the mood for being blamed for her clanmates' deaths.

Dej Khov let out a small smile. "I knew you would feel this way," she whispered sadly as she turned her back towards Utjirini and headed for the prey pile.

Standing in the middle of the entrance to the camp, she thought about what Dej Khov had said.

'I knew you would feel this way.'

What did that mean? were her clanmates judging her based on how they think her emotions are?

It doesn't make sense, meanwhile it does. Growing up, she naturally tended to push cats away, even if she didn't mean to. She had one friend, who ended up betraying her in the end. That didn't go to well. What she did to her was what encouraged cats to keep a distance.

Dej Khov might seem to care, but it might be an act to make her feel worse through guilt, right?
