L O V E

JJ shot up and looked at her phone screen.

"HOLY CRAP! I'm dreaming aren't I?"

It turns out that her "crush" had just requested to be friends on snap. She was actually jumping over her room like crazy not caring about what could be heard from downstairs.

JJ immediately added him back and he sent a snap to her, officially starting their streak together.

He was showing only his eyes and bed head hair, not being straight as it normally is. He was looking at the camera directly and the text on the photo said...

"Hey it's been a hot minute"

She decided she should do a good first snap to him. Getting out of her bed she quickly rushed to her vanity and put on mascara and some lip gloss. Quickly ruffling her hair and positioning it the way she liked, she took a snap of her eyes showing and her scalp aimed at the camera.

After doing so, she quickly added a text to the photo saying

"yeah it has, hru?"

Sending...

Sent!  

She was absolutely freaking out about sending that snap to him. It was true they haven't talked since the last day of school, being only a couple exchange of words.
JJ was miserable after school ended because firstly, she wouldn't see her friends and second being not able to see him.
The way he talks, laughs, his actions, how he interacts with her made her love him since 7th grade. They were locker neighbors and would talk in between classes and in classes they were in together.
She knew she wouldn't have a change with him, multiple girls she was friends with had a crush on him, and not telling them so they would be happy and not argue.
Of course he had to be a hockey player, and JJ adores watching hockey. She never watched him play before but she knew he had practices on Thursdays and Fridays.
One Friday JJ was hanging out with some friends at her childhood best friend's (aka nonbiological sister) house and were sitting in her room. They were calling people and one of them were cousins with Ben, and she gave his number to Nicole (the childhood bestfriend) and she called him. JJ knew that he wouldn't answer because he had hockey but the others didn't listen, they thought he had to go to a doctors appointment.
The next weekday at school she told him about it and he said she was correct. This just made her know that he's paying attention to her.
After this day, he'd start talking to her during passing period, during classes, and after the be would ring for dismissal. She misses all these times but now she'd be able to finally see him in real life again at college!

JJ picked up her phone to see that Ben had messaged her on snap about how he's been.

Aww, I hope things get better for you. But I've been doing fine myself. Just been feeling a bit down since school ended but happy I got accepted into my dream college!

Hey that's amazing! I got accepted into mine too!! To be exact,  I got into [insert college name] , what about you?

JJ BaeBae
Omg wait I got into that college too!!

Benny Boy
Oh wow that's amazing. Well I gotta watch a movie with my family. Bye 👋

Okay! Bye for now!!

JJ shut off her phone as she looked up at the ceiling wondering what had just happened. That was the first time she's texted him or snapped him and she was already going crazy.

" it's literally 3am me, shut the hell up and calm down.."

Slowly closing her eyes, she told herself to dream of something sweet to possibly accomplish in the near future...
