The scenery is nice I guess

The morning

I, well my mom made sure I got here a week early to get familiarized with the place.

I moved here mainly because of school but the scenery is nice I guess. While researching this place I found this cute little café tucked in between an accounting firm and a bed and breakfast, very interesting. This place also has according to google one of the best libraries in the city, I'll be the judge of that.

I make use of my phone and direct myself to the café. After a few failed attempts twisting and turning a group of chattering friends even almost push me flat on my face they didn't even realize. Finally I see the the neon light up sign that reads :

CAFÉ DE LUNA.

Pushing the door chimes greet me as I enter. i'm taken aback by the scents of different drinks and pastries. This weirdly feels nostalgic I instantly feel at ease.

A few people are scattered around the place tucked away in a book or wrapped up in a conversation looking focused. Right now I'm wishing I went to the library first and rented a book oh well. I step into the line to order peaking up I see I'm fourth in line, good I won't have to wait too long.

My drink is ready and I hear the barista call my name

Collecting my drink I make my way back to a table near the back of the room. Scanning the room once again I realized there's not much here to do here for entertainment I guess it's byo. I pull out my phone when suddenly a great idea came to my mind. I'm gonna sign up for a dating app. When it's finished downloading I quickly put in my information and I'm now searching for a profile pic.

Should I chose this one with my mom? That's weird Mai no one wants to see a picture of you and your mom here. I chuckle to myself. Ok back to searching. Ah ha yes this pic of me on a mountain in full hiking gear I feel it says who I am the best. After setting my profile picture and swiping a few times I got a match

A: Right now it's just this coffee I'm having I send him a pic of my nails and coffee

S: Lol girl quit playing. I like your nails red and gold really is your color

A: How do you know that just from my nails?

S: I just know, it gives your chocolate brown skin that shine only a few can capture. Plus you have a pic up of you on your profile. I peeped that.

A: Ah that's really profound and deep. I like that in a man

S: You know I try my best it's all for the ladies

I scoffed smiling this man who is he trying to fool.

A: Mr Sean tell me, what would you say are your three best attributes?🧐

S: what a question ah, I'd have to say my flexibility, I try to see the best in people and umm I guess I work well under pressure. Damn you really put me in the spotlight ma 😬.

A: lol I'm sorry I didn't mean to, I like your answers tho 🙂

S: alright ma my break is almost over I'll talk to when I'm off take care of your beautiful self.
