Chapter 7 - head over heels

"OLIVIA!" I heard my named screamed from the bottom of the stairs.I rubbed my eyes and stumbled to my door.
"Yeah..?" I said while yawning.
"You're 30 minutes late so that means you'll miss roll call but now it seems you'll be even later if you don't hurry up" my mum said with her arms crossed.
"I'm sorry mum,I was up late last night studying" I said with a monotone look on my face.

That was a lie, I was actually up late last night talking to Adriana,I could talk to her for hours and never get bored,our timezones are an pain in the ass,if I could be there in Arizona,trust me,i would.
"Get ready for school,now." Mum said in an angry tone.

Mums been pretty angry lately,she used to be so happy and kind but now she's changed.

I walked back into my room and went to my closet to see what uniform I had clean,I picked out my PE uniform to wear.

BUZZ! I looked up at my phone while putting on my bra when I saw Adriana sent me a text.

Adriana: hey love, how did you sleep?
Me : not great , was up all night talking to you
Adriana: oh I'm so sorry baby,I shouldn't have kept texting you.
Me : no no it's okay,I'll text u after school since I have to go.
Adriana: alright love, I love you
Me : love you too

"OLIVIA HURRY UP,YOU'RE ALREADY LATE" I heard my mum scream from the kitchen.

I rushed down stairs without my hair or teeth brushed.I grabbed all my books I needed and my lunch and shoved it into my bag.

I got my tooth brush and hairbrush and started to attempt to brush both my hair and teeth at the same time.lets just say I didnt work.

"OLIVIA HURRY THE FUCK UP" I heard my mum scream again.

I spat out the toothpaste and put the hairbrush on the bathroom counter and ran to the car as quick as I could.

'sorry mum" I said to mum calmly.
"Olivia, you seriously need to stop staying up so late" my mum said while looking backwards trying to drive out of our driveway.
"Sorry" I said and looked down.

The car ride was very awkward and quiet but I just stayed quiet because I wasn't ready to tell her the truth.

When we got to school, I got out the car, said bye to mum and walked out of the car and into the gate.

"Hi Olivia!" Layla said with a wave like every morning.

I flashed her a smile and kept walking to try and find one of my friends.

"hi Olivia" Naira said to me.
"Hi Naira" I replied back
"What class do we have first?" I asked her as I didnt have my timetable
"We have math" Naira said with a sad expression on her face
"Oh shit, I hate Ms Jones so much" I said to Naira.
"Tell me about it" Naira said while giggling.
We heard the bell and walked into math.
"Did u see cake today yet?" Naira whispered at me so then the teacher wouldn't hear her.
"Yeah, he has art" I said also whispering.
"Okay" Naira said with a smile.

Naira loved Kayden even though Kayden didn't really know her well,Kayden was a star rugby player and she was an A+ student,he doesn't recognise people like her.

The day was so slow,the whole day all I could think about was Adriana, I love her so much even though we have only been dating 2 weeks,although I absolutely hate having to stay up late just to talk.

I saw my mum cars and walked up to it and got it.

"How was school Liv?" My mum asked me with a smile.
"It was okay" I said back.

The car ride was definitely better then this morning but still awkward.

When we got back home, I went straight to my room, I was so exhausted from school, all I wanted to do was text Adriana but I couldn't because she was asleep.

I decided I was just gonna go to sleep and hope I woke up before tomorrow morning.
