Ting! My phone went off , I looked over to see a text message.
Unknown person - Hi!
Who is this? Must be a prank texter or wrong number I thought to myself.
Me : Hi , is this a wrong number because I don't know you.
Unknown person - Sorry I didn't mean to message you , in Adriana by the way :)
Me : I'm Olivia
'This girl seems nice' I thought to myself.
"OLIVIA!" screamed a voice coming from the downstairs
"Coming!" I shouted back while rushing down the stairs to figure out what this person wanted.
"Dinner is ready darling" my mother said while smiling at me.
My mother has always been a sweet person ,her smile could light up a room.
I grabbed a plate when I see my brother Oliver walk down the stairs.
He looks at me with a disgusting look.
"What are you looking at jerk face" my brother said with a rude tone in his voice.
"Nothing Oliver , no need to be rude to me" I said with a smile knowing that would piss him off.
"Now guys , please don't argue at the table" my mother said calmly.
I picked up my fork and started to eat.
I breathed in the warm air around me , my favourite food was for dinner , lasagna.
Oliver was on his phone the whole dinner talking to who knows who.
"Oliver dear , please put your phone down as it is family time" my mother said with a raised tone.
Oliver slammed his hands on the table and shouted at my mum , "I COULD CARE LESS IF IT WAS FAMILY TIME, I FUCKING HATE ALL OF YOU ANYWAY" and stormed off to his room.
my mother got visibly mad but restricted herself from retaliating at him.
I finished my food, thanked my mother and went back up to my room.
Then I heard my phone buzz again.

Me : oh hi
Adriana: i have a question , whats your sexuality and pronouns?
Me : I'm a pan girl who uses she/they
Adriana : okay that's cool , im also pan and I use all pronouns :)
Me : that's cool so where are you from ?
Adriana: I'm from Arizona , USA , how about you?
Me : I'm from Sydney , Australia

Me : Olivia springs , what about you ?

Me : oh that's cool , well I'll talk to you later as it is late at night in Australia, so goodnight
Adriana : night night.
I turned off my phone and got into bed,when my head hit the pillow,all I could think of was Adriana,this girl was different,I could feel it.
