I felt a hand on my hair and I turned to look at Ryder. He continued stroking my hair as I gave him a look.

"Ryder? Why are you touching my hair?" I asked and looked at him then his hand.

"Well your hair looked soft so I decided to touch it, its soft by the way." He flashed me a smile then set the front legs of his chair back on the ground and began writing the notes from the board.

I looked away from him and rolled my eyes as I continued copying the notes down.

"OK class partner up,"

I looked over at Ryan and he was talking to the girl next to him so I moved on to Ansley. She was twirling her hair around her finger and smiling widely at Luke. I turned to Ryder and he smiled.

"I'm your third choice I see, its ok though babe." He said then put his arm around me and looked down at me.

Babe? Last time I checked my name was Aria dude.

"Ryder?"

"Yes babe?"

"Arm." I grabbed it "off." And let it fall limply.

Oh's rang out from Ryder's friends who very conveniently sit right behind us. He shook it of with an irritated playful smile and grabbed his pencil.

"So let's start this,"

For the rest of the class we finished up the lab we had to do and many babes were passed around. Only from Ryder. The bell then rang and I grabbed my bag and stood up.

"Walk with me?" He questioned.

"Sure," I answered trying to sound smooth and not completely and utterly awkward.

We walked down the hall side by side and Ryder sighed then shoved his fists in his pockets and looked ahead of him with a smile on his face.

"You're gonna go on a date with me aren't you?"

"What?"

"You like me, you're gonna go on a date with me, I can tell. I am a ladies man remember," he looked at me with a wide grin and gave me a wink.

That's why I don't deal well with his kind. To ummm......how do you say it cocky.

"Umm, no."

"Ohhh, rejection. You really know how to break a guys heart don't ya." He faked being hurt and held his hand on his heart.

"I don't date." I looked him in the eyes feeling a burst of confidence I haven't felt in a while.

"Virgin. I knew it."

"Excuse me?" I stopped short and turned giving him the look.

He stopped and gave me the look back.

"You've never dated anyone. Pretty obvious that you're a virgin." He gave me one last look then continued walking.

"I'll have you know," I awkwardly ran/walked to catch up with him. "That I am not a virgin. I have no v-card."

He stopped again and looked down at me with a very serious youhavegottobefrickingkiddingme look.

"No way, you're a terrible liar."

"Ugh fine, I'm a virgin." I said and looked down.

He hooked a finger under my chin and lifted it up.

"Hey, hey look at me." I did "its fine that you're a virgin. I'll be honored to be your first."

For a second I thought that was a moment. Maybe even two seconds. I rolled my eyes and sighed as he smirked.

I turned to walk away and he sighed.

"Come here," he moved his finger to signal for me to come closer.

I turned around and walked back to him. He moved closer and put his mouth merely centimeters from my ear. He snaked his arms around my waist then spoke.

"You look really sexy today." He said huskily.

I broke out of his arms and looked at him with a really look.

"That was great!" I said not able to contain my laughter. "Do girls always fall for that?"

His jaw tightened and he held back a smile.

"It works with every other girl, apparently not you. You're defective or something."

"It really works with other girls? Wow. You must like a lot of sluts huh?" I pat his chest and he mocked being hurt.

"Well...it is true. I fall for the sluts every time."

I rolled my eyes and walked down the hall.

"Hate to see you go but love to watch you leave babe," he said and even though I didn't turn around I could tell he was smirking.

********

"Aria get down here!" My mom yelled from downstairs.

I came to the stairs and poked my head down.

"Just come out of your room for even five minutes, please." She pleaded the desperation very evident in her voice.

I walked down stairs and sat on the couch next to my mom. I was silent but somehow I feel like it helped her.
