"You're kidding?"

I shook my head no and his whole body slid down the wall until his butt hit the floor. With a sigh of relief he closed his eyes and ran a hand through his hair. I walked over to him and sat down next to him.

"You know how crazy I was driving myself?" He looked at the wall in deep thought while he spoke.

"Pretty crazy," I answered

"Yea," he sighed and bunched his hair in his fingers.

"You know this is overwhelming for me right. Like you just poured out your heart and soul to me, and I just.....I need some time ok." I took a deep breath and slumped against the wall a little more.

"Yea, but you know that you can open up to me right?"

"Yea..."

"What's that suppose to mean?" He looked at me with confusion.

"I don't open up to many people Ryder. Ansley doesn't even know everything about me and we've been best friends since kindergarten." I looked at the wall and thought back to all the memories.

"Well do you wanna try?"

"I....I don't know Ryder." I said shakily.

"Just tell me one thing, one thing you've told Ansley or haven't. It might be sort of healing for you to tell someone something you know."

"Fine one thing, but that's it. I'm not like you. I don't dramatically blow up and pour all my feelings out on a person at a concert."

"Very funny," he smiled lightly and turned to face me.

"Ok....." I took a deep breath and spoke "my sister she's in the hospital. We got into a car accident 5 months ago and she's been in a coma eversince."

"Oh my go....I'm so sorry Aria."

I nodded and turned away to keep the tears from falling. He grabbed me and pulled me onto his lap. Ryder wrapped his arms around me and I curled into a little ball in his arms. I willed the tears to not fall as he just held me. I laid my head on his chest and wrapped my arms around his waist. I could hear his heart beating rapid fire as we sat there.

"We should probably go to the concert." I said while standing up.

"Yea thats a good idea," he was shaky at first but then realized I just wanted to change the subject.

We walked along with the signs until we reached the floor. We then walked to our seats and when we reached them my happiness flooded back. Music is my life, its what keeps me going and now I'm gonna have the best concert of my life.

"Thank you so much Ryder, I really appreciate it." I hooked my arms around his neck and hugged him tightly.

"You're welcome babe," he slapped my butt and regular, not sappy, Ryder was back.

I rolled my eyes and looked at the stage as lights flashed. Imagine Dragons came out and performed I Bet My Life, Radioactive, and Friction. Next Fall Out Boy came out and performed Centuries, Uma Therman, and Immortals. The whole time I felt this crazy feeling like I was free. I wasn't thinking about anything but the blaring music and just letting go. The Vamps came out next and performed Somebody to You, Wild Heart, Can We Dance, and Hurricane. After them Shawn Mendes came out and performed Something Big, Life of the Party and Crazy. One Republic came after Shawn and did Counting Stars, I Lived, Apologize, and Love Runs Out. Last came Calvin Harris. He did Outside, Summer, Blame, Pray to God, Sweet Nothing and Feel so Close.

As Sweet Nothing blared in the speakers the lights went down and flashing lights came on. Then stage hands walked out and covered the entire edge of the stage. They opened the bags they had and began throwing paint into the crowd. I smiled widely and looked at Ryder in awe. His smile was bigger than I've ever seen before making me smile even bigger. The paint hit me all over covering my clothes, hair and bare legs and arms due to a tanktop and shorts. Any other time I'd be pissed but right now in this moment I was free. The music just had this sort of effect on you. It put you into sort of a lul. Whatever it truely did I loved it. It made me happy, and I want to be like this every second of every day. I crave this freedom and joy.
