   The two of you married as he made his way up the ranks in the demon slayer corps, thinking it was better than waiting when you didn't know how much time he had left. It was like heaven on earth! The unconditional love and support, you thought he was amazing as a friend but he's even better as a husband. He treated you like royalty and showed that he cherished you, never taking you for granted or treating you like a possession. You weren't just the house spouse that maintained the home and opened your legs when he was feeling lustful, remaining quiet unless he asked you to speak.   

   You were more than that, you were the love of his life. He strived to give you a comfortable and happy life, that's why he spent his days showing you that he cares. Other than buying you nice things, Kyojuro did domestic activities with you even if they were mostly chores. It was fun talking as you folded the fresh laundry, teaching you his favorite recipes, and just swaying together in a candlelit room as he told you how much he loved you.   

   That's why you refused to believe Mitsuri when she told you that the Kyojuro you all knew and loved was no longer there. She claimed that he had been transformed into some ungodly creature and tried to murder the very friends he'd vowed to protect with his life! The Nezuko child being an unhinged demon was more likely than him becoming a threat to humanity, especially when he's been nothing but kind his entire life. So it had to be that little demon girl, she must've snapped and tried to fight them but your Kyojuro was not a monster. He wouldn't trade his humanity to be a demon.   

   Who were you to call the Hashira a liar? When have they ever been scheming, untrustworthy people? They were your friends after all! Once you married Kyojuro he introduced you to them and they welcomed you with open arms. You should have listened to Mitsuri, she was your friend! Had you left when she begged you to instead of fighting her, you wouldn't have met this imitation of Kyojuro Rengoku.    

   When he first appeared in the moonlight you thought it was your Rengoku but with each step he took you finally understood Mitsuri. His skin had a strange gray tint to it but was still somewhat pale, little specks of red and yellow littered his body, seemingly resembling embers. He had this dark look on his face matched with an unnerving smile that showcased his newly sharpened teeth, you imagined that it could cut through your bones easily. When he spoke it was as if he was possessed, it didn't have the cheery note to it, now adopting a deep gravelly edge that made you freeze.   

   Before you could think of running, Kyojuro had knocked you unconscious. Although he was a demon his goal remained the same, he'd protect you from the madness for as long as he lived. Doesn't matter that he's changed, you're still his spouse and he'd be an awful husband if he didn't care for you as he promised! By the time you awakened, he had already brought you to a home in the mountains. It'd be hard for you to contact anyone, let alone a demon slayer when the next village was miles away. Your chances of surviving in the forest are slim since you have no survival skills, let alone a talent other than folding laundry.   

   You didn't care for the nice furniture or the ornate decorations he had scattered around the house, all you wanted was to leave before this man devoured you. When you're begging him not to hurt you or to let you leave, he sees it as a silly tantrum. Kyojuro brings you more expensive clothes, high-quality meat, and ingredients so you can eat well. He figured if he spoils you, you'll stop being dramatic and continue to love him as you once did. If his gifts and kind words aren't enough to calm you down then he'd settle for pretending he has to rebuild your romantic relationship, after all, he did change drastically.   

   He wouldn't mind your cute shaking and squeaking when he gets closer to you, or your weak attempts to hide from him. It won't bother Kyojuro at all. What does bother him, is your crummy attitude. When you get to hurling insults and accusing him of being a selfish, power-hungry man that only cares about himself, it pisses him off. He warns you to shut up and walk away but you just have to get your point across, making him the bad guy when he crushes your throat in his fist. He hates hurting you but you make it easy sometimes, he might accuse you of being a masochist since you never seem to learn.   

   At first, he was planning to treat you like royalty and worship the ground you walk on but your annoying urge to refuse his love, care, and affection makes him take another route. Since you don't love him anymore he may as well treat you as his pet since you have no choice but to rely on him for food and shelter, not that you care. So what's the harm in seeing how long you can go without food before you're willing to do anything for it? You'd probably suck him off for a measly crumb, unless you'd rather die of starvation.   

  You don't want to share a bed? That's fine, sleep outside chained to the ground and hopefully, you don't get mauled by animals or devoured by a wandering demon. Besides, in the morning you'll finally get the sunlight you've been whining about for days. You think he cares if it's raining? He doesn't, he'll just buy medicine should you fall sick. He'll let you back in the house when he's feeling less sore about your behavior.   

   For some reason, you've taken it upon yourself to avoid his presence but he'll drag you around by your ankle, forcing you to follow him around the house. He doesn't need you to be by his side constantly in order to be satisfied, but knowing you can't stand it makes him happy. When you're out in public at night taking strolls and visiting night markets he dares you to cause a scene. He's been itching to eat a human being right before your eyes anyways, maybe then you'd get it through your head that fighting against him is futile. Maybe then you'd appreciate the fact that he's sacrificed his humanity to be by your side and ensure your safety from Muzan.
