chapter 12

Wyatt's P.O.V

They locked me up in a dark room after they got me. It was hard to move or breath because they have shot me. The bullet was in my side and I was losing a lot of blood, but I was still alive. I should have know that my dad would send people after us.

Now they got me, at least Lea's save.

I need to escape and go to her before the two days are up.

The door open revealing light. Two man walked in to the room. Great two of my dad's friends. One of them grab my hair pulling me up from the ground. "Why don't you tell me where the girl is so that we all can go home." Ha they think I would just tell them where Lea is.

No chance.

I didn't say anything and just look at him. "Stop being so stubborn boy, you're only making it harder for yourself." The other man said while leaning against the opposite wall. Again I didn't say anything and just looked at the man who hold me against the wall.

The other man sighed before going outside.

"You brought this to yourself." The man said who was holding me.

A second later the other man came back with a huge bucket of water placing it in the middle of the room. The man holding me pulled me away from the wall before dragging me to the bucket forcing me on my knees in front of it. "Now we will asked you again. Where's the girl."

The only think I did was give them a emotionless look.

"Okay, if you wanna play it like that." With force the man behind me push my head into the ice cold water. He was holding me down, not allowing me to breath. He pull me back up and I started couching. "Tell us you little shit!" The other man yelled.

"You're never going to find her." I growl.

The man smirked before looking at the man behind me. Before I knew it I was back under water.

It hurt.

It all hurt.

Choking, gasping, desperately trying to breath, but at the end only getting water in your lungs. My head was finally being pull back up. I could feel my lungs burning.

"Where is she?!" The man yelled at me.

I shook my head looking up at him. The man behind me pulled me away from the water throwing me on the floor. Before I could do anything he kicked me in my stomach. "You better tell us because I can do this a whole night." The answer I gave him was spitting blood on the ground.

They both laugh before walking closer to me. One of the men pin me down to the ground with my hands. The other man bend down and looked at my stomach. His hand when to my side and a second later he push on the bullet wound. I screamed my lungs out when his fingers when inside the wound.

It seem like forever, but he finally pulled his hand away. "Get some rest you will need it for tomorrow." They both laugh leaving the room. I'm not staying here one more day.

Slowly is stood up leaning against the wall. My hands search for the door in the darkness. I need to reach Lea before my dad or anybody else does.

Finally I found the door.

I reach in my pocket and took a paper clip. I learn to take it everywhere with me when I live with my dad. Every time he would handcuff me to something and I always get loose.

Quickly I put in the lock and try to open it.

Come on!

I need to get out!

My wounds were burning, but I didn't care. After minutes of trying it finally make a clicking sound. Slowly I open the door and saw that I was in a underground tunnel.

I close the door behind me and began to run a direction. It was hard to run without feeling the pain, but I couldn't stop. I had to do this for Lea. It's my fault she's in this mess and I'm going to protected her no matter what. I reach a staircase that lead to freedom.

Without hesitating I ran up the stairs and open the hatch. Day light came in my view making me relax some more. It was getting dark and I needed to go. There were only trees around me and I saw no road. I close the hatch behind me and started to run in a direction.

There was no time to waist.

The men could find out that I'm gone and would run after me.

After what felt like a hour of running I came to a road.

Yes!

This road leads me to the address I gave Lea! My legs started running again. No matter what I have to reach her. Everything hurts and there were already black spots before my eyes. Sweat was dripping down my back and forehead, but I didn't stop.

If I would stop I wouldn't started running again. I would give up and just fall to the floor. The road came into a forest. The sun was almost under, but I had enough light to see were I was going. A little house came in my view and I started run faster.

Lights were burning inside.

I hope it's her.

I ran up the front steps and knock on the door. My head was spinning and I could taste blood. The door open and a smile came on my face.

"Wyatt?" Lea was standing at the door looking at me with tears in her eyes.

"Hello princess."
