The Sleep

I snuggled in my blanket cocoon
In my cold empty room
As my mom bid me a goodbye

As I close my eyes
I feel surprised
To see I'm in a different world

I gawked in awe
As I looked and saw
The stars that lit up the night

And Angel passed by
And caught my eye
And decied to come talk

Welcome young man
And they held out their hand
And flew me through the sky

With a warm smile
Let's stay for a while
They said as we landed on a star

It's so amazing!
To see the stars blazing!
I exclaimed with wide eyes

Do you have anything to say
To your parents that stay
On the planet Eart over yonder?

I nodded my head
As he went and lead
Me to a beautiful garden

I saw my pretty Mama
And amazing Papa
Crying near a grave

I tapped my chin
And started to lean in
What's that say? I asked

Just say what you wanted to say
Since you only have a day
For this chance ever

I love you Mama!
I love you Papa!
Take care of yourselves!

My parents fade away
And I, sad they couldn't stay
Turned to see the Angel

Thank you lots!
That I talked to Mom and Pops!
Before I could leave with you.

He smiled sadly
As I took his hand gladly
Unknown what to come

I'm taking you to a Paradise
Where everyone there is real nice
And the place is called 'Heaven'

That's sounds great!
I hope I'm not late!
Will I see my brother too?

Yes, you will
And I promise you still
You're parents will come very soon

He took off with me
And again I can see
All the beauty that I loved

I know this sounds sappy,
But I hope you'll be happy
