Wind howled amongst the trees as they danced, harmonizing with the sound of light paw steps treading across the dense forest. A cat by the name of Dej Khov carried a rabbit in her mouth, her icy tendrils somewhat weaving around its limp body.
As the small patrol set its catch down into the prey pile near the center of the clearing, a loud, outraged meow broke through the calm, quiet theme of the camp.
"Leave me alone! I don't care if you're trying to help me or not. It's just a scratch, it'll heal itself. Your medicine cats, you have ears right? If not, then you can bring them back with your stupid herbs, right?"
Arai, the medicine cat apprentice tried her hardest to quiet Utjirini down, but she was fuming. "Of course we have ears," she squeaked. Utjirini glared, her many eyes sparked with anger. "If you have ears, surely you heard me saying many times I want to be left alone."
Utjirini stormed out of camp, her wings fluttering behind her.
