Valentines Pov-
A shrill cry echoed in the mist, I rapidly turned around completely dumbfounded on what could of possibly created such a blood-curling screech.

I swiftly realized that I had abandoned my dog -Rosa's- leash in the middle of a pitch black spine-chilling forest, I looked around expecting to see something in the distance that could be an escape route from this dreadful cage of greenery.

That's when I saw it..Two pairs of glowing eyes staring into my soul that seemed to be fighting the urge to launch at me. The shadow started to slowly make its way over to me hovering over the ground. I started to back up until I realized that the once jungle of plants had turned into a dark box that had no door to get out of, that's when I came back to my senses and realized my feet were moving there self towards the gloomy shadow.

I tried with all of my strength to stop my feet but they wouldn't stop, it was like they were in some sort of trance that I wasn't in control of, that thing was. I tensed my legs up and then came to a hault, the creature noticed and started making its way over to me I knew that if I didn't run I would be the creatures supper.

I turned around and sprinted the other way the mysterious thing caught up quickly and was now hovering next to me I looked infront of me again and then back to my right side and the creature was gone but I could still feel it's presence so I knew that it hadn't given up.

I gasped as I saw a small opening in the black box, I raced over to the slit in the black wall, turning sideways so I could fit through, the unknown creature was on my tail. But I managed to get out of the large enclosure, as soon as I got out I looked back and saw that nothing was there and a bunch of trees had replaced where the box had been. I looked at the spot blankly but just thought about how it was all over now and hopefully I wouldn't have to go through it again.

I sat down on a near tree trunk catching my breath, then it hit me Where Was Rosa? "ROSA" I screamed over the noise of birds, I ran over to the tree that I was at before the attack where I found Rosa's Leash which was covered in fresh blood, my mind immediately went to the worst things possible, was Rosa dead?

I just sat on a pile of cold wet leaves and broke into tears, Rosa was the only thing keeping me happy, I don't know what to do without Rosa.

"ROSA" I screamed again for some reason expecting a reply

I just sat in the leaves having a staring contest with the floor then I looked up at the sky which was coated in stars remembering Rosa could be one of those stars.

I thought back on the ear piercing scream, had there been another person in the forest that had been attacked? I got up, brushing off any leaves and mud on my joggers. I clenched onto my phone and turned the flashlight on. My hand shaking in the progress.

I turned around after hearing a breath in my ear seeing nothing there, I turned back around and shuffled forwards well pulling my sleeves down, shuddering at the sudden temperature change.

I started to jog checking around trees to see if the person could be hiding behind them in fear. "How am I supposed to find them" I muttered to myself.

"Over here" the now known lady cracked weakly. I sprinted over to the tree looking behind it, there she was, her neck slashed open and blood gushing out of the wound.

She looked at one of my eyes to the other and then mumbled some sort of 'thankyou' and then fainted at my feet.

I looked around making sure no one was here and then lifted the woman up who was suprisingly light, I brought her stiff body into the moonlight to look at her features of her face.

She looked no older than 16 years, I looked at her in pity and wondered how I would get her to a hospital in time without her draining all her blood.

I shoved my phone in my pocket and put Rosa's leash around my neck wincing at the fresh blood dripping down my chest and back.
