Jungkook's mansion was silent. It was almost midnight, both vampires sleeping soundly in their separate rooms. After that one night they shared a bed, Taehyung felt like he needed to sleep on his own, not because he didn't enjoy being wrapped in the other's arms, but because the way he felt was too much to handle right now.

The wind was howling outside, and the younger vampire started to stir in his sleep. A memory trying hard to resurface, but couldn't quite manage to do so. His eyes opened to a dark room, a headache ruining his sleep. He felt like he was going to vomit because of it, the pain becoming unbearable and annoying. Why couldn't he remember whatever the memory was?

After huffing and puffing, he got up with a groan. Knees to his chest, hands on his head trying to massage his scalp, hoping it would help. He tried to concentrate, so that maybe, just maybe, whatever his brain was trying to bring back to him would come to him. His concentration techniques left him hanging, I guess human memory techniques aren't going to work on a vampire.

Half an hour later, and he was kind of surprised that Jungkook wasn't already in his room, seeming the other one always listened for his heartbeat, which was going off the charts right now, he got up from his bed, naked feet touching the cold marble floor. He sighed, opening his door slowly.

The pitter-patter of his feet touching the floors were the only thing that was heard in the huge mansion, and the occasional howling of the wind.

Once he was in front of the older's door, he took a deep breath. He knocked, but there was no answer. Squeezing his eyes for a second, because he got a new rush of pain from his head, he opened the door, his eyes landing on the open balcony door.

Jungkook had his back to him, his arms on the balcony railings, he seemed lost in thought. Taehyung felt like he was intruding on a private moment, but his brain was suffering and he thought maybe Jungkook would know a medicine that would work on vampires, like paracetamol or something.

When a new wave of pain hit him, he couldn't help but hiss, holding his head with his hand. That seemed to get the older's attention because in a second he was next to him, one hand on his waist, the other on the hand that was holding his head, "Tae- oh god, Tae are you okay?" he helped them sit on the bed, "What's wrong? Why are you in pain? Are you hungry?"

As soon as Jungkook touched him, Taehyung's head started feeling lighter, the wave that hit him slowly subduing, and leaving crumbs of the memory he was trying to remember. "It's better now," he got closer to Jungkook, head now resting on the other's shoulder, "I feel better next to you."

The hand on his waist got a little tighter when the words left his mouth. "I'm sorry I was so out of it, I wasn't focusing on your heartbeat, I still heard it but it was a faint sound, my mind was louder with other stuff."

He sounded really sorry, which made Taehyung's eyebrows furrow, so he looked up at him, "Why are you apologizing for that? You are allowed to rest, you can't be keeping an eye out for me all the time and that's okay, yeah?" he cupped the other's cheek, "Do you want to tell me what was on your mind?"

Jungkook shook his head, "I will, but not now. Tell me what happened to you first." Sighing, Taehyung shook his head, in his mind the memory was getting clearer. He was sure now, the closer he is to Jungkook, the easier it was to remember.

"Let's focus on you tonight. For weeks you've been putting your needs aside, giving me every bit of attention. Please, let me in in your mind, just for tonight. I want to be able to calm you as well." He was talking slowly, making sure the other knew how sincere he is.

"Tae," he held him closer, "I give everything to you because I want to. Not because I'm obligated to. It's a pleasure to have you here, in my house, in my arms." he pulled back, looking the other in the eyes, "I don't want you to feel like you are indebted to me, or that you owe me anything because you don't. This isn't a trade, I don't expect anything from you when I give something. That's not how our relationship was, and it will not be like that, ever."
