Merlin POV

I open the letter and started to read I could feel tears building up in my eyes.

Dear brother

It has been so long since we've seen each other we were so young but I wish I was with you now. I managed to escape thanks to sir  Peter and sir Caspian.
They've got me somewhere safe and I asked them to deliver this letter to you in hopes that they find you and bring you home.

I would love to meet our mother and get to know her again I feel like something bad has happened to a thought that I can feel it but I'm not entirely sure after all I don't have Magic like you oh father.

We need you now more than ever and stop  are anty , she's using her magic to freeze people . we need your help and you need to learn the more secret about our family.
I love you Martin don't ever forget that I will see you soon

I just ran out of the room couldn't face anyone I could hear Arthur calling my name but I couldn't bear it. I want to know that my sister was really safe and I had to bring my mother back home.

I ran into my room past guys and just flopped on my bed I didn't know what to do or how to feel about seven minutes later there was a knock on the door.

" Gaius , is Martin in there?  I need to make sure he's okay" I heard office voice from the other side of the door then a few minutes he walked in and I just turned my back.

" i'm sorry I lied to you I had to protect my family and I need to learn more about controlling my magic that's when I was told Gaius could help me as I couldn't be with my people who could teach me"

I felt a hand moving some hair from my eyes and I saw sadness in Arthur's face. " you should've told me that you had Magic that you were a sorcerer" I just turned from looking at him back to the wall.

" if I told you the full truth who I was that I was a prince and I had to go into hiding to protect my people bye letting them suffer so I could be old enough to take care of them. Besides if I told you I had Magic your father would've chopped my head off. "

Arthur POV

I ran down the halls of the castle heading straight up to merlins and Gaius Chambers. I was trying to picture myself of what Merlin had gone through and remembering the vision can you show me of his past.

To flee the kingdom to protect your people must've been hard for someone so young he looked about 12 or 13 in the flashback. I knocked on the door Gaius  to let me in and I went straight to Martin he was lying on his back looking like he was about to cry.

" you don't need to say you're sorry Merlin. It should I say I'm sorry I should've tried to get to know you better for you to trust me. You should've told me you were a sorcerer though " h i say trying to give him a slight smile.

" what are you do realise there was a difference between a sorcerer and a warlock,  right ? " asked me and I just looked slightly confused. " I thought they were the same"

Merlin just burst out laughing at me . " haha. No they're not . A sorcerer is someone who studies magic from spells books. that have been translated. A warlock is someone or a witch who was born with Magic like the Druids . "

Martin tried to explain it to me but I still couldn't get it he got up and grabbed two books one from guises side of the room the other from his. I looked at the book that I said was guises and I could read some of the words but when he handed the one he was holding and I was learning from it was actually written in a language I couldn't understand.

" this one is written in English for sorceries to understand but it doesn't have the real translations so they're not as strong for them or powerful but this one is in dragon lord language or Dragon lord or old religion or in the language of the Druids "

this was a lot to take in but I was happy that Martin came clean with me and we could be friends but remember that he was a prince from another kingdom that meant I had to get another manservant but it's hard to find someone who could replace Merlin.

' what am I thinking no one can replace Martin no one in this entire world can compare to him . I can't imagine my life without Merlin . Wait does that mean that I love Merlin more than I love Gwen ' 

" could you tell me more about what you've been through and how are you got here I'd like to know so I can know what I'm up against I couldn't bear to lose you so please tell me the rest of the story Merlin " I say and he just nods his head gets up and puts his hands above my head.

*Flashback begins*

I watched  YoungMerlin and get badly injure and then watched as sir Peter went to protect him. The battle went on for a couple of minutes before Peter was stabbed in the shoulder suddenly everyone could feel magic coming from the south and they saw golden lion coming towards them and the witch looked terrified.

" what is Merlin? " Asked Susan I went to look for him and the list found him and gave him some of her healing appointments to speed up the process as you know Martin is Emmys and can survive most anything . Peter pulled him into a hug. " when are you ever going to do as you're told"

The lion that protects all of melons people came and paralysed the witch with his venom knocking her unconscious I'm giving chance for everyone to get away and stopping the battle for now has the enemy rotated away from the kingdom for now but soon they came back shortly after Merlin had been sent away for safety.

" listen melon this is for the greater good she's managed to come back and she's taking your sister we need to get you and your mother out of here as soon as possible we will come back and get her don't worry but we need you to be safe she won't harm your sister she will just probably lock her up but please for the good of the kingdom do as I say for once" Asked Peter.

" he's right your Highness. This is the only way we will escort you out of the kingdom and hide you will give you some clothes for you to wear and allow Rose to help you with your clothes and Big belongings" send Caspian.

" Merlin nodded. Agreeing with the terms even if he disagreed he packed up his things and headed out of the kingdom where no one has seen him for many years.

*End of flashback*

" i'm so sorry Martin for everything you had to go through but don't worry you're not alone anymore you have your knights and you have mine and me. ." Hi say pulling him into a hug and he hugs me back.

" we will leave first thing in the morning so make sure you get some breakfast and I'll make sure this time it is actually a real breakfast like mine the one that you deserve" I say getting up and heading towards the door and going towards my chamber.
