A long time ago lived two kingdoms, two kingdoms who differ from one another. One of light and one of shadows.
They didn't really get along with one another which caused a war that lasted for a few years.
Ruler after ruler continuing this war, until it ended by two current kings who made a deal to unite and set peace to both kingdoms at least for now if their deal works out well.
To do this both of the king's rightful heirs would have to partake in marriage with one another.
