Chapter 2: Facing Trouble

Y/n POV

You know what? I've been very bored these days... Not having thrilling stuff happening to you sucks. I may not have been the best at keeping stuff to myself, but hey, there's a reason for that.

"Nii-san, have you heard about this news? The Chernobog incident... It's likely to be caused by the new group called Reunion. It's a group that consists of Infected." Bronya said.

"Welp, Ursus sure is about to get messy. But I don't like the sound of Infected and non-Infected going out to war. It's just... bad, I guess." I said, letting out my thoughts. Sure Ursus is one of the worst or not the worst place for the Infected. But that place was still my hometown that... give me all the trauma that I had now. Never mind, sad for you, Ursus.

We never actually spend LMD for a living, in fact, we rarely use them even if we have them. Usually, we live in a place that seems to be really quiet, like right now. Although this place is like a home for the Infected around, it seems to be quite peaceful.

"I guess this isn't half bad," I said while starting to walk around.

"Don't forget to come back by 6," Bronya warned me.

"I know and I know!"

I walk around and pass by several Infected who require treatment. They're dying and well, seems like nobody cares.

Not too long after, I saw a blue-haired girl helping some kids.

"Huh? A Lung? And she looks like someone from the L.G.D. I wonder what's she doing here." I start peeking from behind the walls. She started going and since I don't have anything to do, I decided to sneak and follow her.

"Hi, mister." A kid greets me.

I look at her and tell her to shush while giving her a piece of candy. I continue to sneak around, following the dragon lady. There's a second where I lost her, but found her again.

We almost went outside Downtown, and that's where I could hear the voice of sirens becoming louder and louder.

"Oh no, better run."

"You won't be going anywhere." The blue-haired girl said, wielding her sword and facing toward my direction.

"Nah, better get going," I said, trying to run but getting blocked by a giant shield and some guards.

"Alright alright! You win!" I said, holding my hands up as I got brought by the L.G.D. for interrogation.

Whilst in the car, I tried several methods on getting myself out.

First, trying to act like I don't know anything.

"Hey, why am I being taken? I'm just there by coincidence! After all, where's your proof that I was sneaking around watching you?"

"I never said that. You didn't even sound like you were trying."

(Bruh... I really just get myself more suspicious.)

The second method, compliment her.

"You're a...very...strict officer who is good at enforcing the law." After saying that, I think of moving on to 'compliment' her seriously.

I lean into the front seat, specifically on the right side where the blue-haired dragon girl is sitting at. I bite her ears and she shivers in reaction.

"What the hell are you doing?!"

"Oh nothing, just trying to get a taste of you," I said, smiling innocently. The silence went on for a while until I eventually broke it.
