I Wanna Be Yours

Chloe's P.O.V.

"Come on, please Chloe I just want to borrow them I'll give them back I swear." Dani practically begged me. Part of me knows she's willing to bring out the water works, she always does when it comes to borrowing my shoes.

"Astrid it's nothing personal you know how I am with lending things out. It's not because of you, I won't let anyone borrow my things especially these boots."
I feel a hand slide around my waist and someone pulling me into their side. I would freak out but I have a feeling I already know who it is.

"But I can borrow them right babe?" I turn to look at Vera finding the sickly sweet smile I already knew would be on her face.

"Of course babe you know you can borrow whatever you want, what's mine is yours." I reply matching her smile.

Dani's face is priceless.

"What the fuck!? You just said you wouldn't let anyone borrow them but suddenly Vee walks in and she gets whatever she wants?!"

"Well firstly, Vee isn't just anyone —"

"Damn right I'm not." Vera cuts in smiling proudly.

"Secondly I can trust her to actually you know bring my things back."

Dani smilies guilty at me. Little shit.

"Aww come on now Chlo, you know how forgetful I am. But I swear I won't lose these boots, cross my heart and hope to die."

How can I say no? She's practically my sister, an annoying, overdramatic at times, extremely awkward sister. But a sister none the less.

"Ugh fine BUT if you lose these boots I get to keep that really cute sweater you got last week."

Dani looks to be weighing out her options but eventually she looks me in the eyes way to seriously, walks up to me, and holds her hand out, "Deal."

I look at her hand amused but shake it anyway to make her happy. "Deal."

That sweater is mine.

Vera, who during this whole exchange found herself a cozy little spot on my bed snorts, "You two can be such dorks sometimes I can't even."

"Maybe but we're your dorks and you love us."

Vee let's out an exaggerated sigh at this, "Yeah, I do."

Being happy with that answer I go back to sorting my clothes. Dani - having already put the boots in her bag - goes and joins Vera on my bed.

"Veeeeee??" Dani drawls out loudly. I don't have to turn around to see Dani's scheming gaze and Vera's cautious and probably annoyed glare.

"Yes Danielle? What can I do for you dear?" I hear Vee reply with faux kindness.

"I was just wondering how Luka's doing?"

Like hell I'm missing out on this, the clothes can fold themselves. I join them unceremoniously scrambling onto my bed.

"Or you know, if you've confessed your undying love to each other yet?"

Vera does not look amused. She looks pissed off and ready to punch one of us in the face, as best friends do. After what feels like hours she sighs, "I'm gonna ignore that whole 'undying love confession' bit."
