Micah dashed around his café, serving each of his customers as efficiently as he could. Receiving tips and graceful smiles. The blond boy wasn't even fully awake yet, taking every chance he could to drink from his huge coffee cup. He had stayed awake all of the following night thinking about Giden. Anything to do with him, he had thought about. From all of the small, naughty moments they shared to the beautifully peaceful ones. He was conflicted, he knew he still loved Giden. But he didn't know how to show it without it being awkward.
The boy sighed and swallowed his emotions, focusing on his craft and his passion for both baking and barasting. He lost himself in his favorite mixture, of work. Good vibes, coffee, the smell of freshly baked treats, and light music in the background. He found himself lost in the focus of it all. He didn't even notice the boy that had kept him awake all night walking in right after the morning rush, the last customer between him and his first break of the day.
"Hey, can I get a mocha again? Yesterday was incredible, impeccable even." Giden's deep voice rocked Micah in the right way. He quickly looked up and smiled.
"Yeah. I'd love to make you one." Micah trailed off, quickly preparing the glass the same way he did the following day as he scattered to try and come up with a topic of conversation.
Giden had just walked through the icy cold streets of New York to reach his café, on his only break from the shoot of the day. They both yearned for the same thing, to catch-up, and maybe give themselves one last chance. Giden left his family behind, he completely cut off contact with his sister specifically. He was disgusted by her when he learned the full truth. He wanted to protect the boy he loved at all costs, he got a restraining order against his sister. He told her to stay away from the both of them or else. Now that Giden had connections, he knew how to keep them safer than he ever could've before.
Giden knew that he could protect Micah.
"Uh.. do you maybe wanna stay during my break?" Micah asked bashfully before he perked up and regained his small source of confidence, looking Giden straight in the eye as Giden smirked.
"I'd love to." Giden responded, Micah held in a squeal.
"Perfect." Micah calmly responded, quickly finishing up Giden's mocha and locking the door to his café. The boy sat down and motioned for Giden to come and sit next to him. Giden chuckled and sat down, watching his small movements, like the way he steal sat crisscross apple sauce on sofas. How his eyes lit up at the sound of Giden's voice. The way he looked at people with this brown compassionate eyes.
"You're um, you're a model now?" Micah asked timidly, he didn't know how to form the odd question. He never imagined that Giden would be a model. He was absolutely gorgeous, they both we're but he didn't think it would pick Giden's interest.
