The Presentation

Part 1

If you watch a movie it's clear who the nerd is, it's always the geeky kid who cares about their grades, and is ugly to everyone else.

I am that classic nerd, I wear glasses, have braces, and have straight A's.

But it's different, in a movie, there's always a glow-up, and the ugly nerd always turns pretty.
But this isn't a movie, this is real life. There's no chance I'll have that glow up. No chance I'll be accepted by the popular crowd. I'll always be; too nerdy, too ugly, or too awkward. So I gave that fantasy up a long time ago. I gave up trying to be cool and instead I decided to focus more on what was going to help me succeed in the future.

That is why I am now walking to English ignoring all the drama going on in the hallway.

Eveleigh, one of my only friends, comes up to me. "Hey, Sarah"
"Hey" I reply
"Guess what, I just got invited to Carls's party tonight!!"
Eveleigh is the total opposite of me. She is confident and beautiful. She is an extrovert and loves going to parties while I on the other hand hate it. I prefer staying in reading a book or watching a movie. For this, I will never understand why she decided to be my friend. But I am so grateful she is. I don't know how I would live without her.
"You should totally come with me." I cringe. "No, no way, that's just not my scene."
"Besides, Carls been your crush for like forever you don't want me bothering you"
"I guess, but you should go out more. This can't be healthy" she says
"I think you should pay more attention in science"
She rolls her eyes "whatever, I have to go, I'll call you later bye."
Before I have a chance to reply she is gone.
I sigh and keep walking to class.

Here is my first part to this story I am writing. I hope you enjoyed it.
