"Miss Bett?" Sebastian called as his saw his employer's eldest daughter heaving a bucket out of a well. He jumped a fence, keeping the bundle in his arms steady. "Need any help?"
"Oh! 'Bastian!" Bett cried gratefully. "Yeah, please!"
"Shot. Hold this." Sebastian thrust something into Bett's arms and proceeded pulling up the bucket.
"Eek!" Bett squeaked, holding the chicken out at arms length. "H-hurry, I don't want to hold this thing much longer!"
Sebastian passed over the bucket and took back his chicken. "This is the little Bub that your mother is letting me keep here," he cooed lovingly, stroking the bird.Bett shuddered, backing away slowly.
Very, very slowly.
