The Cold Days in Goraku & Koufuku

🎄Special Story: Nix and Athan's Christmas Time🎄

Four days after the events of Bonzai's Birthday and Birthday party, Nix and Athan went back home and decided to go to the living room where the Christmas Tree was. The Christmas Tree was beautiful with the many lights and ornaments, as Nix's eyes were sparkling with joy. Athan gets out the soup from the fridge to make for Nix to have, as Nix was on the chair, comfy with the fuzzy blanket.

Nix was feeling comfortable at the point that he doesn't want to leave the chair. He had lots of things planned until Christmas came, and it's all the good ones. "Your soup is ready." Athan said, "Thank you brother..." Nix said as Athan puts the soup on the small living room table. Nix got out of the chair and grabbed the soup to eat.

Athan turned on the TV and sat on the couch, while Nix was enjoying his soup. The TV puts a Christmas episode on, which made Nix happy. He was nothing but pure happiness for the night of relaxing, and Athan was proud of him.

The next day, 8:15am, Nix woke up and got out of bed, while Athan was still asleep on the other side of the bed. Nix decided to get breakfast before starting off his day, making Omurice for himself. He cooks the seasoned rice first, then makes the egg part, resulting in a perfectly done Omurice. Nix got a spoon from the silverware drawer and set the Omurice on the kitchen table.

Nix took a bite of Omurice, he loved it a lot. Athan went into the kitchen, tired and yawning, and seeing that Nix made something for himself, "I'm so glad Nix is becoming an independent person." Athan said to himself. Nix finishes eating the Omurice, then he puts the dish in the sink. "Today's going to be like an adventure..." Nix said. Nix got bundled up and went outside to start his adventure.

It felt like 5 degrees outside, when it was actually 15 degrees in the weather. Nix was already feeling cold, but he didn't give up on going as he went to the nearest craft store. He looked for something for his brother, but it was hard to decide on which ones to get. He looked at the book shelf for the perfect book for Athan, then looked at the home isle for baking sets, and lastly clothing isle for some socks. Nix paid for the items and then went to the next area.

Nix yawned as he went to the city square, it was crowded as sales were going on for the Holidays, but that didn't interest him. He couldn't decide what to do next, so he went to a Cafe building and got Hot Cocoa for a drink. Nix liked the taste of it, as the cocoa had special peppermint flavoring on the marshmallows, he felt pleased after taking a sip of the cocoa.

After finishing the cocoa, he went back outside and decided to go to the jewelry store. Nix was unsure if he should get a necklace for Athan or a bracelet, he knew that he loves jewelry, but it was a hard choice between a necklace or bracelet. Nix took his time thinking about what to find for Athan.

Meanwhile in another area, Athan was looking around the area for shops to get Christmas gifts for his brother. He was determined to be the best brother for him, so he went to the fashion store. Athan looked around at the Sweaters and cozy clothes. He picked out the perfect one for Nix, which was light brown with a unique red design on it, so he bought it and went back out. 12:42PM, Athan's stomach was growling, so he decided to go to the food court inside and look for something delicious.

Athan got baked sweet potatoes and egg bread as a result, he sat down in one of the seats in the eating area and he set his food down on the table. This was his first time trying sweet potatoes, so he broke up the sweet potato, which was hot, and used a fork to eat a piece of it. The baked sweet potato was very delicious to Athan, and he ate more of it as he felt happy. He finished off the food and put the plastic dish in the trash, and went off to continue his Christmas shopping. He then receives a text from Nix.

Nix: Please meet me by the nature area in the State Park, I have to tell you something.

After reading the text, Athan stretched and got his stuff to go to the train station, so he can get to his destination faster. He got into the train and sat in a seat where he could be alone. After a few people got into the train, the train started to move. After some time, he looked at the scenery of Christmas lights and inflatables while the train was moving, which made him happy. All he could think about is the nice and warm feelings about Christmas at the moment.

Twenty minutes later, his nearest destination was announced on the train, the doors opened up, and Athan got out of the train with his stuff. His face already got cold as soon as he left the train, but that didn't stop him from going to the state park. "National... State... Park..." Athan said in between breaths as he found the location. He cleared his throat and went on to find Nix.

Athan saw a campfire at a distance, indicating that he had found Nix, and ran to that area. Nix was warming up his hands while the fire was still going, until getting tapped on the shoulder, he looked up at Athan. "Brother..." Nix said as he looked at Athan, "How did you get here by any chance?", Athan asked Nix, "Well... I finished my 2nd half of my Christmas shopping, so I decided to go here and start a nice campfire..." Nix answered, Athan sat next to him so he could get warm as well.

"I just wanted to say that... You've been a very caring brother for me since all of these years..." Nix said, Athan was surprised at what he said, and hugged him. "Thank you." Athan said as he cries happily, Nix didn't expect him to feel prouder, and cheerful of life in general. After some time passed, the two vampire brothers decided that it was time to go home, so the two transformed into their bat forms and flew back home.

The two finally arrived back at their home, and they transformed back into their normal forms. Nix and Athan decided to wrap each other's gifts in separate rooms so they don't peak at each other's gifts. They put the gifts under the tree and went to the living room to watch TV. "I just can't wait for Christmas tomorrow." Nix said to himself, as he snuggled into the blankets.

Christmas Day, 7:51AM, Nix was snuggling all over the bed because he is dreaming about himself being in a Winter Wonderland and being friends with the forest creatures, until being disturbed by Athan's humming. Nix then woke up, "Merry Christmas, brother!" Athan said as he smiled at him. Nix got up and got dressed in Christmas clothing, then went down stairs to the living room alongside Athan.

There were a lot of presents under their tree, as well as their stockings, "Well..." Nix said, as the two get the presents from the tree and sort them by person. "We've never gotten this much before..." Athan said, Nix nodded, and the two got into opening their presents happily.
