The Cold Days in Goraku & Koufuku

✨Story 3: Everly Comfort at Home✨

In the house where Ever Bambi, a chubby yellow green entity, and Why Bambi, a half-machine turquoise entity, live, the two have decided to skip the time to say "ever" and "why" to people and relax for the day. Ever Bambi didn't want to bother anyone but his partner. He got lots of plans for the day.

"TV time..." Why Bambi said as he grabbed Ever's hand and set themselves into the couch, and Why turned on the TV. He puts on a mystery show for him and his partner. They were snuggling with each other while watching the show, "Very good show, isn't it?" Ever said as Why nodded. He decided to get a fluffy blanket and got back to watching the show.

After some time passed, Why decided that it's the perfect time to set up the outdoor porch fire. He got some wood from the firewood holder to start off the fire, while he didn't notice that Ever was still on the couch inside in the blanket. "This'll make him happy..." Why said, setting the firewood on the fireplace, then seeing that it's snowing lightly. Ever was napping on the couch, while Why got back inside and saw him nap, he nuzzled his cheek for a couple seconds and then went back to get a lighter.

Back outside, the fire gets lit up by the lighter and starts to grow slowly. Why went back inside to find some winter hats, scarves, a shawl, and jackets, he was relieved at this point that he found their warm stuff. He set them on the 2nd couch, and waited for Ever to wake up. After Ever woke up 6 minutes later, he saw that the warm stuff was at the other couch and Why is smiling.

"I have never seen him smile since our days at restaurants." Ever said to himself, as his cheeks got slightly warm. Ever changed the channel to a cooking channel, then he went up to Why. He shook as soon as Ever got up to him, he hugged him, Why did the same thing. "You're the best partner ever!" Ever said, Why was proud of what he said, and patted his head. Ever giggled when his head got pats.

Ever put on a winter hat, then the gloves, then the fluffy slippers, and lastly his shawl. Why did the same thing, but with a winter jacket on instead of a shawl. The two went outside to the porch and Ever sat by the fire, as Why went back in to get some snacks for the two. He looked inside the fridge to see what was in there, then he found out that recently he bought the pepperoni and cheese variety box from the one store he liked, so he decided to get some stuff out of the fridge and get out two bento boxes. He got out two pans, one big and the other rectangular, and got other food to make the stuff for the bento box.

Why cracked four eggs into the rectangular pan, then beat the eggs until it's all yellow. After waiting 5 minutes, he dumped the finished Tamagoyaki into the plate and sliced them into 3 pieces. He repeated the recipe for his Bento box, then moved on to making the Hamburger Steak, he mashed the ground beef into a bowl, added some salt and pepper to it, then an egg. He then mixed the bowl until it was fully mixed, and put the two ground beef into the shape of a burger, and put them on the stove and set the timer for four minutes.

He then got eight cheese sticks and pepperoni out to make the Panino, he wrapped the pepperoni for each cheese stick, then put four each in the Bento Boxes. After the timer went off, Why flipped the two burgers, then he sets the timer for four minutes again. He then put two potatoes in the microwave for a minute and thirty seconds, he felt like he was getting the handle of cooking things. After the potatoes were finished being cooked by the microwave, Why got them out of the microwave and put them in the Bento box.

After another four minutes passed, he put the finished hamburger steaks into each bento, and drizzled them with gravy. He then closed the Bento boxes and got four blankets then went outside. Why sat next to Ever and gave him a Bento box with chopsticks, "Ooooooo~! You made something?" Ever said, Why nodded and the two opened their Bento boxes.

The two ate by the nice hot fire, Ever loved the Hamburger Steak as soon as he took a bite out of it, same with Why. It was still snowing softly, and Ever was shaking lightly, Why noticed and put two blankets on him. "Thank you." Ever said as he ate a Panino. The two were enjoying their Bento snacks and the warm fire.

It was 4:47PM, "Um... I think we should make dinner inside." Ever said as he got out of the sitting spot, and the two went back inside. Ever took out the cookbook from the shelf and looked at the recipes in the book, "Interested in cooking?" Why said to Ever, "K-Kinda..." Ever said as he looked away, Why chuckled as he knew that he was interested in cooking.

"You choose from the book." Ever said as he gave the cookbook to Why, "Heh..." Why chuckled and took the cookbook to look at the recipes. "WE FORGOT TO DO SOMETHING!!" Why said as he grabbed Ever and went to the bedroom. The two took off their winter clothes and put on their original clothes, and they went back to the kitchen. While Why was looking at the one cookbook, Ever got another cookbook, this time it was a different one.

Ever decided to take out some raw fish from the fridge and the deep fryer from the kitchen cabinet. Why got out chicken breasts and a potato out of the fridge. Ever was about to get the Fried Mix, but Why got it first, he giggled as he got it out.

~Time skip to when the sides for their dinner was almost done~

Ever was laying on the couch, covered with his favorite blanket, which made him comfy. Why decided to put Ever's favorite plush, which is a Squishmallow named Gary the Giraffe, by his right hand. Ever felt his plush, and snuggled it and mumbled about how Why is his fave. The alarm went off, which made Ever sat up and get off the couch, he checked on the sides, they were finished. The two put their dishes in the dining room and sat at their tables.

"Thank you for the food..." Why and Ever said as the two got the silverware off the table and began to cut their food. Ever ate the fried chicken, and then felt like something good happened, "The tender chicken and the savory gravy combined... THIS IS DELICIOUS!!" Ever said to himself, as Why was enjoying his fried fish and loaded potato. "I'm very proud of you for cooking my dinner very well." Why said, "Eh... I learn from cooking shows." Ever said, as the two continued eating their food.

After some time passed, the two finished their food, and put their dishes in the sink. Ever and Why went back to the couch to watch TV. The two smiled at each other and are proud of taking care of themselves.
