"Whats up with you?"

Tyler frowned, as he lifted his head from his hands to look at me. Even though we knew each other for a short period of time, I could tell that he wasn't in the best mood.

"Just a bad day, I guess"

We were currently in his house. He was home and not at the cafe, so I decided to take the opportunity to visit him. We have been friends since we met at the cafe a couple weeks ago. Shortly after, we started texting and hanging out whenever we got the chance.

"Okay cmon, lets go"

I took him by the arm, dragging him from his couch. An idea popped up in my head and I really wanted to brighten up his mood. Ignoring Tyler's complaints about wanting to stay home and his questions about where were we're going, I managed to drag him out the building. His arm was tangled in mine and I tried to ignore the feelings that bubbled inside of me at the simple contact. I finally let go and asked him to get into his car without any further questions.

"I'm the driver of the day." I told him laughing , at how terrible that sounded.

"Let me say my prayers first."

I punched him lightly, which made a small smile form on his face. I returned the gesture and turned my attention back to the wheel, starting to drive to where I wanted to take Tyler. I hummed lightly and turned on the radio, the music playing softly in the background. Meanwhile, the boy started to vent about his day, telling me about how he barely slept last night, his dad annoying him and being a dick, he managed to pick a fight with him resulting in his mood being the way it is.

I listened carefully and interrupted his rant only to comfort him. It saddened me how upset he was, so I took of my hands from the steering wheel and placed into his own, my thumb rubbing the soft skin of his hand in a reassuring way. We were silent for the rest of the car drive, but it wasn't uncomfortable.

"Okay were here." I said, parking the car.

"Where are we?"

I giggled at his confused question, as I got out of the car and made my way to the gate of the place. Charles followed close behind, examining the place.

"It's a garden, Tyler. I come here all the time when I'm in a bad mood."

We got inside, paying two tickets and walked around the paved paths around the garden. We started talking about random things and I showed him some of my favorite sights around the place. Gently, I intervened my arm with his, as we were walking and he gave me a small smile once I did it.

"Is this a date (YN)?"

The question came once we took a sit on a bench. I thought about it for a second, but once I took some slow breaths, I managed to answer

"I mean if you want to call it a date id be more than happy"

I looked at him, his face bright, covered in sunshine. Soon enough, Tyler closed the gap between us, his lips pressing against mine in a sweet, loving kiss. I didn't hesitate to respond I've been waiting for this moment since I first laid my eyes on this boy.

"Well okay then, get ready for tmrw cuz im taking you on a proper date." he said breaking the kiss

His bad mood seemed to change in the warm summer air, as we continued our walk hand in hand.
