Time skip a few hours later

Day had soon pasted and the night crept in. The snow was coming down hard and didn't show any signs of clearing up.Brad was currently  driving a rented car with y/n in the passenger seat, and Spencer, Stanley and Chelsea are sitting in the back. Their surroundings seemed to disappear around them, the only thing they could see was the snow coming down that lit up from the headlights of the car.

....how many hours have they been driving....6.....2 hours?..... was it even hours? Worst could have been days....years?!?!? That's what Chelsea was starting to think. He let out an obvious puff of annoyance while looking out the window.

"Are we close to New York?"

Brad took a quick glance in the rearview mirror to look at his youngest brother.

"We're not trying to get to New York. We just wanna make it to Minneapolis. It has a bigger airport, so flights will go out sooner."

"But we've been in the car for hours."

Replied Stanley looking out the other window. He then folded his arms. Chelsea decides to fold his arms as well. Which didn't go unnoticed by Stanley who groaned in response to his actions.

Y/n turns in her seat to face the trio and gave them her best reassuring smile. To be honest she didn't know exactly where they were at but she trusted that Brad knew and besides Spencer is using a GPS. But he hasn't said anything for awhile.

"Well unfortunately because some roads were closed and we had to go a different way." Y/n tried to explain as she turned back to face the front again.

A silence washed over the ground for a few seconds before Chelsea glanced at the two adults in the front seat and spoke up.

"Soooooooooo....we're lost..."

"No no, not at all! We can't be lost! Spencer has the GPS so he knows exactly where we are. Right, Spencer?

Y/n asked as she quickly turned in her seat to face him. She was desperately looking at Spencer to finally say something.

Without looking up from his phone replied with a "Yep." that had a "pop" in it.

Y/n let a big sigh of relief followed up by a nervous laugh. "See?" Y/n smiled

"We're smack in the middle of nowhere."

Y/n shot a nervous glance to Brad who in response gave her his best reassuring smile and placing his right on her knee and lightly squeezed it to try to calm her nerves. This was technically the first time she's been away from home that's not like 2 hours away....she couldn't help but be nervous. Y/n tried to smile back while her mind raced with all the negative out comes if they don't find a place to stay the night.

"So...we are officially lost." Stanley said looking out the window disappointingly.

Chelsea let out a gasp. "We'll never get to New York for Christmas."

"Yes, we will. We'll get there. You'll see. We just have to keep going, no matter what." Encouraged Brad.

"I have to go to the bathroom." Pipped up Chelsea.

"Ugh seriously, Chelsea!" Groaned Stanley

"What? I do!"

"Can't you hold it in?"

" Forever?!"

Brad sighed "You guys, it's fine. We'll stop."

"Probably smart. With snow like this, there's no way planes'll go out tonight. They might not for days." Spencer said finally looking up from his phone.
