33. Caged soul

Aelana was apparently saved by her lovely niece, Rhaenyra had entered in the room and called her name, saving her from daemon's wrath.

Soon they had laena and laenor mourning ceremony, Aelana felt her throat choked up at the mention of laenor and rhaenys tears. Guilt rushing through her body like a lava. Currently they were all settled in the dining room of the driftmark hall.

Along with lord Corlys and princess rhaenys, who were sitting on the head of the table. On lord Corlys left side sat the Rhaena, followed by daemon Targaryen and then rhaenyra. on rhaenys right side, in front of Rhaena sat her sister baela and infront of daemon sat Aelana followed by Aeryn Targaryen.

the rest of children spread out on the table. the table was filled with various food from all over the world. Aelana even saw the fruits from Pentos and wonder how lord Corlys get his hands on them, but then again he was a sailor and has seen things aelana would never, not in this life.

Everyone was drinking their cups and filling their bellies with food, Laughing with joy, honouring the two true born Velaryons, one who died a true rider death and another who lived his life as he wished, not that many were aware of it.

Aelana had notice that through out the dinner viserra was staring at daemon, she didnt even try to hide it. Daemon had noticed it too, he had looked at aelana questionly but she ignored it. she wasn't aware what viserra knew or what she was planning but she hoped for good.

Currently Aelana was listening to rhaenys talking about some diamonds lord corlys bought for her from essos when she was disturbed by jacaerys, who took upon everyone attention by yelling "Auntie Lana who was baelyx named after?"

Aelana turned her head to look at her nephew and squinted her brows in confusion "Why the sudden inquiry"

"Mother tell her I was named after Great Balerion!" Baelyx said and aelana smiled at them. she looked at rhaenyra humorously who only rolled her eyes and took a sip of her wine. Aelana look back at jacaerys and explained to him.

"Baelyx was named after his grandfather, Prince Baelon. but its true that prince baelon was named after the great dragon Balerion" Aelana explained and baelyx asked back "Why was grandfather named after Balerion?"

Surprisingly before aelana could reply to her son, she didnt expect but was a little shocked when daemon spoke up from in front of her, his eyes locked onto Baelyx "Because your grandfather was a little babe when he entered the dragon pit and when he saw balerion, he smacked the black dread on his snout"

their was a silence in the room, for two different reason. The children mouth were gaped with that information while as for the adult. This was the first time they saw daemon interact with his children and everyone was holding their breath.

Until they heard a loud voice from viserra and jacaerys all together "HOLY SHIT HELLS"

Aelana immediately whipped her head to the children at their sour language but before she could speak Aeryn Targaryen spoke up "Language children". Viserra and jacaerys giggled putting their hands on their mouths and Aenya look at daemon.

"He was your father. are you badass like your father?" Aelana eyes widened at the dirty tongue of her 6 year old daughter, she only shook her head and turn her eyes away from the children to see that daemon was fully grinning at Aenya.

"I am the Rogue Prince, Of course I am" Aelana eyes widened when she saw her little daughter blushed at daemon's words. She was gobsmacked and while rhaenyra only smiled at this, Aeryn laughed out loud.

Before anyone could stop Viserra, she moved forward on her arm which were placed onto the table, her eyes wide and shining with amusement at daemon. Aelana didnt knew what was coming but she sighed when viserra opened her mouth and said out loud excitedly.
